We dined there, when the bill came they showed me the total bill in Brazilian Real, and the credit card device showed Brazilian Real, but the server switched it to American dollars which was 12% higher than paying Brazilian money. (They also included a mandatory tip) Receipt says I was offered a choice and chose US dollars. I NEVER was given the option, and I never choose US dollars. A total lie, Sneaky and deceptive. Peixoto certainly brings nice looking fish to the table. Colourful, bright and brilliant looking dishes that unfortunately were covered with truffle oil. I prefer to let the fish speak for itself. The appetizers came out cold, and the prices were quite high. Overall, there are better sushi places in leblon to spend...

Don't know why it's not more crowded than it is. Had the chef's choice and they were all pretty good - comparable to what you'd get at a mid tier restaurant in Japan. The fish was also very fresh. They do go a little heavy on the truffle oil though, so you may want to ask them...

The appetizers came out cold, and the prices were quite high. Overall, there are better sushi places in leblon to spend your money on.

Estoy sorprendido con la calidad de Peixoto. Quise probar sushi en Río de Janeiro porque había escuchado que en Brasil hay mucha cultura de comida japonesa. Al abrir Google y buscar, pude ver cómo había varios locales de este tipo de comida. Elegí este porque tiene buenas reseñas y a pesar de ser un comercio pequeño y en apariencia sencillo (que es lo que buscábamos), es muy acogedor, y la comida es riquísima. La atención fue rapidísima, las piezas hechas en el momento y muy frescas, con una gran variedad en el combinado que elegimos: desde pez blanco, hasta atún rojo, salmón y pulpo. Todas contaban con un toque especial, ya sea rayadura de limón o azafrán. También muy correcto en incluir jengibre y vegetales para limpiar el paladar entre piezas. Se presenta en piezas de cerámica muy lindas y no alcanzan los elogios! Gracias!
