A culinary experience on Ilhabela that cannot be missed!

We were lucky to be the first patrons of the evening and Henri (also goes by Bobbi) introduced himself and gave a very personalized tour of the restaurant and wine cellar. Every detail is a personal touch and creates a beautiful atmosphere. They have an extensive wine list including Lebanese wines which I highly recommend.

But the food! We explained our dietary restrictions (gluten free for both and vegetarian for one) and Henri recreated the Sofra menu to meet our needs. And let me say, each dish was better than the last until we had the dessert which almost gave us tears! It was that good!

I didn't think someone like myself, from Ottawa, with such a large Lebanese population outside Lebanon could find the caliber of food on the small island of Ilhabela? What a surprise!

What a wonderful place! The restaurant looks so amazing. The facility is just wow. The dekoration is with a lot of details and love, we love it!!

And also the food was so delicious, everything what we order!! And its come big portions. We had the all inclusive dinner for 2 persons. Was a loot. Perfect, we havr now a lunch for tomorrow 🥰

The owners, Henry and Monica are so lovely peopels. They welcomed us, show us around und told us everything. Because the restaurant is super new and they told us about the history. So nice to hear everything!

If you love oriental kitchen, ore of corse you never try, you need to go!! What a nice expirience! Also super nice was, that they have a lot of games, like billiard, cards, baccaman.. so you can play after dinner and take a nice drink.

We got takeaway of a variety of things including a mezze, kafta, fatoushe, mdardara and a Persian rosé wine. Everything was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the mezze and mdardara but everything was delicious and the restaurant itself is beautiful. The owner was super helpful and speaks English, French and more (in addition to Portuguese) which made the experience easier for me as a non-Portuguese speaker.
