Restaurante Rancho dos Peruanos - Mooca — Restaurant in Região Imediata de São Paulo

My visit to this wonderful restaurant in Mooca was one of the culinary highlights of my recent month-long trip to Brazil. I was leaving for Toronto later that day and this meal was the perfect send-off. The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely delicious. My wife, in-laws and I shared fish ceviche, a a plate of battered seafood and the seafood rice. Everything was fresh, well-seasoned, well prepared and with the variety of flavours and textures you'd expect from Peruvian cuisine. Even though we verging were full, we also tried two of their desserts and I'm very happy we did. Both were amazing but the standout was their tres leches cake. It was without a doubt the best dessert I had that whole trip (and Brazil loves their sweets!) Our server was very attentive and friendly as well, and honest about the portions when we asked. Um restaurante que me surpreendeu muito! Desde a comida até o atendimento e o ambiente, tudo é excelente!! Pedi um prato de ceviche tradicional individual e consegui dividir com a minha namorada, a porção é muito bem servida e o prato estava uma delícia, o melhor ceviche que eu já comi (melhor do que os ceviches servidos em restaurante japonês). Pedi uma cerveja peruana e ela é gostosa, não é muito diferente das cervejas brasileiras, mas ainda assim é gostosa. Minha namorada pediu uma limonada frozen e estava muito boa também, ela tinha limão, gelo e groselha, era muito gostosa e não era enjoativa. De prato principal pedimos uma chapa com vários frutos do mar empanados, vinha também com um pouco de milho e cebola roxa, estava uma delícia, todos os ingredientes muito frescos e o peixe estava desmanchando na boca. Pedi também um suco de milho roxo, pode parecer um pouco diferente mas é uma delícia, o melhor que eu tomei nessa visita. De sobremesa pedimos um doce tipicamente peruano que estava muito bom (não me lembro do nome) e alfajores com Nutella, que também estavam uma delícia.
