Great location shame about the service. They don’t take bookings even with a deposit, it’s first come first serve served. No problem. So we arrived at 6:30pm To make sure we could get a table. We did and we sat at the front. I asked to be moved because the menu for passers by was in front of our table and they put torches so people can look. Trouble is this shines straight in your face. Not so nice when it’s dark and dimly lit. They just need an overhead lamp so it doesn’t shine in customers faces but passers by can still read the menu. So they moved us with no problem. We loved the atmosphere, nice ambience, and a great position. Unfortunately that’s it. Once we sat down there was simply no service at all. We ordered our food and we waited and waited. In the end we had to request if it was coming some hour and a half later. No wonder they were so busy and you couldn’t get a table! Shame because the food was OK. Nothing special but OK. We wouldn’t return though because of the lack of attention especially when you are paying $150 real approx per head just for basic food. We didn’t order starters and it was just basic pasta for that price. You would expect a lot better when you are being charged this price. When we finished our meal we couldn’t get the bill some 2 hours later (just main course pasta!!!!) so in the end I went up to pay my bill at the till, frustrated. The problem is they simply don’t have enough waiters. Need more waiters per table and they would actually make more money because people would get off the tables quicker and then perhaps they could lower their prices slightly! Ordered spinach and gorgonzola risotto. Pretty well served and tasty. I don't think the rice was arbóreo though, it looked and tasted more like long grain. My wife's meal of quinoa and vegetables wouldn't have filled a small, starving mouse, but she wasn't hungry so she was happy. Friendly waiter and good location in the street. Our group of three ate here two nights: the first was SO good we just came back the second. Excellent vegetarian options (one of us is veg), nice drinks, but the food is really outstanding.
