Happy Bar & Grill Iztok — Restaurant in Sofia City

When in Sofia, no matter how hard you try to avoid Happy, sooner, or later, you end up there for some unhappy reason... I really do not understand this ugly phenomenon. The food Happy offers is mainstream fried frozen dishes. The service is rarely ok since it is usually done by young ladies in super short skirts. Price-wise, it is also not the most attractive option. The prices are definitely not reflecting the basic food served there. Atmosphere - like a dark student canteen. The tables are so close to each other you could barely pass through. The level of privacy is practically not existent. During my last visit, a not very experienced waitress managed to spill the whole ketchup souse on us, brought us some wet wipes, and disappeared... Next time, I would definitely do the best I can to really avoid Happy and especially this...

I'm sorry to say that my experience at Happy Bar&Gril Iztok in Sofia was extremely disappointing. We had to wait for over 45 minutes for our food to arrive, and what's worse, other people's orders were served before ours even though they arrived later than us. To make matters worse, only one person at our table was served while the other person's food didn't arrive for more than 25 minutes. The food that actually came got cold. After spending 1 hour at that restaurant we decided to leave hungry, we couldn't wait more. It was frustrating and ruined our dining experience.

Overall, I was extremely dissatisfied with the poor service and lack of care for customers at Happy Grill Bar in Sofia. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a positive...

Preparing sushi without gloves. There were three people, a woman and two guys, preparing sushi. For the entire time, only the woman wore gloves. The two men never wore gloves and repeatedly touched the sushi and raw sashimi with their bare hands whilst preparing the many sushi dishes for various clients throughout the evening. . This is very unhealthy and I'm sure this is a health code violation.

Our food, a burger and udon noodles dish, were okay, but not the typical high standard that we've experienced from other Happy restaurants. The zucchini fries were without salt and too moisty inside. Again, this was a winning dish at another Happy restaurant.

Please make sure that the people who prepare sushi always wear...
