Hello beautiful DQ customers of mine. I'm just gonna answer some quick reviews posted here.
In the case of the strawberry banana Julius, I'm sorry that customer was misinformed by our staff as to why we don't have it. The reason we don't have it at street locations, but do at mall locations is because all Dairy Queen's are separately owned. So depending on which DQ you go to they will have different rules, different prices, and different options on the menu board. Our Dairy Queen doesn't carry one of the ingredients for strawberry banana juliuses, so we can make you a regular strawberry Julius and add banana for 99 cents, but it still won't taste the same as the original flavour.
Unfortunately when it comes to blizzards of the month they do end up being VERY popular which make them impossible to keep stocked until the end of the month. In some cases our suppliers run out of a product which also contributes to some recent blizzard of the month flavours not being accessible. A lot of the time we will run out of a blizzard of the month within the first 2 weeks because it was a lot more popular than we expected. The Reese extreme was one of those.
Some other complaints we get are us not having Reese's pieces, unfortunately all we have are Reese peanut butter cups. That is up to head Dairy Queen. Another complaint is there not being enough cookie dough in a blizzard. However we can not add extra for you because we do have rules as to how many scoops per size of blizzard, any more is an extra 95 cents after tax per scoop. You can however ask for it to be remade at a slower speed so the cookie dough pieces don't get pulverized into the icecream, as tends to happen with cookie dough.
Our speed does vary a lot depending what time of the day it is and what sort of orders we get. We try to keep our drive through under 4 minutes for every order to come through and go, but depending on who's in front of you and how much they are getting, you might be waiting a solid 8 minutes before getting to the window. Our food orders do take longer because everything is made fresh at DQ, down to fries. I'm extremely sorry for the wait in these cases, I honestly feel so bad when I see 3 food orders and one small cone order at the very back of the line.
I hope I've been of some help. This Dairy Queen is home to me and the people here are family. Some customers I've come to know as friends and it's a pleasure to work here, but it can get hecktick sometimes. Please bear with us as we try to make your visit here a good one
Thanks: Emma...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhile going through the drive-thru, I asked if the Blizzard contained peanuts. The employee assured me it did not, so I went ahead with the order. However, the Blizzard did contain peanuts, and the person who ate it has a peanut allergy.
I called Dairy Queen and spoke with the manager, who denied that I ever asked about the peanuts. When I requested her name, she responded, āI donāt have to give you my name.ā Thatās not how a professional manager should handle a situation like this.
I informed her that I would be there in 10 minutes. When I arrived, I spoke to the employee at the front, showed the Blizzard with peanuts, and asked to speak with the manager. She went to the back, and a few minutes later, another employee handed me a phone, saying I needed to speak to the head manager.
The in-store manager refused to come out and speak with me directly and instead had me talk to someone over the phone. The head manager offered a refund, which I declined. I explained that this isnāt about money ā itās about staff being careful and responsible. If theyāre unsure whether something contains peanuts, they should never give a definite answer.
Itās disappointing that a manager wouldnāt come to the front and take responsibility for such a serious issue. This location needs serious improvement in both management and staff training. If language barriers are affecting communication, thatās something that needs to be addressed as well. I just donāt want anyone else going through what we experienced ā because mistakes like this could lead...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFood 5/5 as it was just ice-cream we bought.... 60$+ worth might I add. 2 peanut buster parfeit's added caramel sauce 1 double oreo blizzard, one chocolate shake extra chocolate and one box of buster bars. We needed a tray for everything except the buster box but the parfeits didn't fit so the employees added this random coffee cup with the bottom cut out to "help make them all fit" not even the chocolate shake fit in the tray. When we brought it to there attention all they could do was give us extra coffee cups with the bottom cut out... needless to say not 20 feet from the building as I left everything tipped over and the shake fell right out of the tray and onto the parking lot ground. When I went back in and explained what happend I was basically told there was nothing they could do and if I wanted a replacement I had to PAY for it..... well not my fault your cup holders do not accommodate the size of products you sell! And should not have been the customers responsibility to replace the item since we were ensured everything would stay in place. Definitely STAY AWAY from this place even an extra topping that would be free at any other DQ cost you extra at this location. Beware is all I have to say........ from here on out I will be making my own icream confections from Birchwood dairy products from home!!!!!!! Ps management was the one who told me I had to buy another shake if I wanted a replacement.... excellent management skills...
