As a passionate foodie, discovering Sahota’s Live Grill in Abbotsford has been an absolute delight! This restaurant is a paradise for anyone who loves authentic Indian cuisine and a variety of bold, delicious flavors.
We indulged in an incredible array of dishes, and every single one was a standout. From the flavorful Paneer Platter served on a sizzling plate to the perfect comfort food combination of Dal Tadka and Jeera Rice, the meal was unforgettable. The Hakka Veg Noodles were cooked to perfection, and the crispy Sev Puri brought back nostalgic street food vibes. The Aloo Puri, Aloo Tikki Plate, and Veg Samosa Chaat were bursting with authentic Indian spices and textures.
For the ultimate vegetarian feast, we also enjoyed the Veg Platter, Shabnam Ke Moti, and Paneer Bhurji, all of which showcased the chef’s expertise in balancing flavors. The refreshing Mango Shake, Shirley Temple, Azure Cascade, and Pina Colada Virgin added the perfect finishing touch to our meal.
A special shoutout to the amazing staff—Krish, Siya, and Pratiksha—who truly made our dining experience exceptional. They were attentive, friendly, and ensured every aspect of our visit was enjoyable. Their hospitality made us feel like valued guests.

Read moreMy friend and I decided to try Sahota Live Grill on Friday night for a girls night out. It was 7 pm and when we arrived there were plenty of tables available unlike the other newly open Indian restaurant down the street. Which was jam packed! We were happy Sahotas could accommodate! They have done some extensive renovations from the old original Joe’s that it once was and it looks great! Upon arrival they let us sit in a large booth as it wasn’t very busy. The first thing I noticed is that I couldn’t relax! I felt like I was in a night club and not a restaurant! The loud pop music they were playing just didn’t suit the restaurant or the vibe! I don’t know… it just didn’t work! My friend and I were discussing how we would much rather have a lower toned, background Indian tunes! Yes! 👍🏼 Ok so for dinner we ordered chicken palak which was really tasty and devoured! Super yummy! We also had lamb curry, rice and garlic naan. The lamb curry was so so nothing special and a little bland. We loooove garlic naan and were a little disappointed as it to was bland. We couldn’t taste any garlic at all. ☹️ We ordered 2 glasses of the Riesling they had there which was a nice accompaniment to go with our spicy food. Wine was ok. I’m a bit of a wine snob soooo. I noticed coppermoon on the menu so I didn’t really have high expectations 😬 We will give this place another go. Maybe happy hour or lunch next time. Hopefully a little better experience. 😊 wish I would have taken pics! Presentation of...
Read moreI don't even know where to start... it’s unbelievable how good the food is! My whole family was literally licking their fingers. We ordered a variety of items, so let’s first talk about their service. As soon as we entered, the lovely Pratiksha greeted us and showed us to our reserved table. She then explained the best food and drink pairings with such knowledge and enthusiasm. Sahota’s has truly hired a gem—she’s so well-informed and was able to remember our entire order in one go, punching it into the system without having to ask us again. We were seriously impressed. I have no idea about other server but Pratiksha is one who know how to upselling the items.
Now, the food... oh my gosh! We ordered appetizers and a main course, and everything arrived on time—nothing out of place. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and you could tell the chef (Bhagwan) put so much care into preparing each dish. I can’t even find the right words to explain how amazing it was. The Malai Kofta was a bit on the sweeter side, with raisins and cloves slightly overpowering the flavor, but honestly, my kids still loved it!
When it comes to the ambiance, they’ve really nailed it. Every table is spaced out well, so there’s no sense of being crowded or disturbed by other diners.
Our food bill was $226 and feel like its fair if you really wanna taste something good.
I can 10000% recommend this place! It’s hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the 3 years I’ve been...
