Worst service I have received ever at a restaurant!!! I came here for a birthday celebration with my wife and my elderly mother. We sat down at a clean table near the bar. We were sitting for at least 10 minutes with waitresses walking by and no one acknowledging that we were there. another two people came and sat at a table next to us that was dirty, and the waitress came by their table and cleared it off and proceeded to give them menus. I finally asked her as she was walking by if we could get some service, finally about another 5 minutes went by before someone came to our table with menus, at this time I told our waitress that it was my birthday and we would like to start with my free nachos they had offered me in an email. The waitress took the information from the app on my phone to get my nachos started. I then had to ask them if they had the Dine out Vancouver menus as the festival was on and I knew they were participating in this. We got the menus and ordered our food. Awhile later my wife got her first course of her Dine out Vancouver meal, then when she was done they brought out her main course (still no nachos at our table) I asked our waitress about the nachos and she went over to their computer and I saw her typing away, which leads me to believe that was the first time our order for nachos was entered. We finally got the nachos after my wife's main course was almost finished. We ate those for awhile, and then they brought out the dessert for the final course for my wife, we then finally asked where my mothers food was, our waitress did not know. At this time we said just to cancel her order and bring us the bill. I was pretty upset by now. the bill arrived and I quickly paid with my credit card without really looking at the bill. The waitress walked away and I glanced at my bill, and noticed they charged me for the nachos that were supposed to be free on my birthday, and we did not receive the discount for our drinks that were offered on special. I asked the waitress to send the manager by (who I had seen him walking around just 10 minutes earlier) The waitress came by with a girl that she claimed she was the manager. I told her the situation, she walked away with my bill and came back and offered to give me a gift certificate for nachos on another visit. I said that wasn't acceptable as after this visit I do not plan on coming back here. asked to see the manager that I had seen walking around earlier, she said he was busy. I finally asked for a full refund, and she said she would have to speak to the other manager. She came back and said they would refund it to my card but it would take 6 to 9 business days. I then left after the "manager" took my copy of my credit card receipt as she said they needed it to process the refund.

Well today is 14 days (10 business days) since I have been there and still no refund. Not only am I writing this review, I will be sending an email to the head of the corporation about this incident. From reading other reviews on here, it looks like this is an ongoing issue at this location.

I truly wish there was a ZERO star option or negative stars, because this service does not even...

Huge list of poorly thought out features:

Poor layout: The table we sat at had a TV right beside my head... I can only imagine patrons sitting here and having others stare in their direction to watch the game - truly poor tv placement

Cutlery is poor quality: Chunky handles on forks and knives... I know this is nitpicking but seriously uncomfortable cutlery to use. Just another way I feel that not much thought went into this place.

Drinks unavailable or watered down: No Moscow mules which I know this place has had before. Also asked for light ice in a Ceasar and received it still nearly half full of ice (I get people's definition of "light" may differ... Maybe I should ask for NO ice) Also mixed drinks taste watered down or like they don't actually have the advertised alcohol content in them.

Food poor quality/taste: (ordered following) Perry Perry wings - vinegary, no other flavor. Tasted like they were dipped in sauce not marinated Honey garlic - same as above Deep fried pickles - actually pretty decent, slightly squishy but overall a good taste to them. Just overpriced for an appetizer Perogi bites - just absolutely blah for taste. The only thing that added flavor was the sour cream. So I had bread and potato dipped in sour cream...

Uninformed staff - trying not to knock the waitress, she tried her best for a new hire. However couldn't inform us of the list of wings flavors, as well as beers on tap

Boring atmosphere: Music was a good volume, not too loud not too quiet, way too many tvs in the place and weird sports "art" all over the place. Like the designer was trying too hard to make the place into a huge mancave with sports memorabilia everywhere and booze related stuff hanging on the walls.... Just too much of everything

Flags in food: Makes the food being served look and feel like I just ordered at IHOP

Food pricing: Decent on specials but NOT on full price appetizers

Employee dress code: Very unappealing dress code required by employees... Enough said

Poor menu layout, very confusing: Items on menu have write ups that try to sound funny... Just confusing in the end. Also way too many items on the menu, and not enough pictures of the food - if any at all.

If you're coming here to watch the game, this is the place to do it, since it has tons of TV's

To sum it up... I would sooner go to mucho burrito than come here again, and I am truly baffled by how this place has a 4* review. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if this place is out of business in the next...

A group of 5 of us wanted too make a last minute reservation for 8pm on Saturday Night, which happened too be the Canucks last home game and a UFC. We called around 4pm and the manager working, Katelyn I think, asked if she could give us a quick call back to let us know if they could fit us in. Within 5 minutes she called us back too let us know they had room for us! The place was packed when we arrived but our table was ready for us in a section with lots of TV's.

Our server was Amber and she was the sweetest. Our drinks came out within a few minutes of ordering. Considering we could see how busy the bar was, they had 4 people tending to drinks so they were flying out. Our appetizers arrived, and HOLY! The nachos are huge! And the braised beef is too die for. Our mains arrived about 25 minutes after we received our appetizer. We were okay with this as the nachos were so big they took longer too eat. All of our food was hot and fresh when it arrived and full of flavour. The Same Team Burger is so good! Katelyn even came by too talk to us and thank us for coming in. She was very personable which was comforting compared too other places we have been in Abby.

I don't understand the negative reviews about this establishment as we have dined here a few times now and we've had excellent service every time. The managers are always talking to tables and interacting with patrons. We love it here. We also love how The Canadian Brewhouse gets involved with Charities. Amber let us know about the specials for the evening and they were raising money for autism research and donating a portion of beer sales to the families of the Humboldt Broncos. Kudos too the...
