The Palm Cafe — Restaurant in Abbotsford

This is the coffee shop I frequent the most in Abbotsford because I love their sweet drinks but the last time I was there was a really really poor experience for me and really turned me off. I ordered the iced lucky charms latte to try something new. I got it with oat milk because I have an extreme dairy sensitivity. The girl asked if I still wanted it with cold foam and explained there was dairy in the cold foam. I said no cold foam. She also asked if I wanted the lucky charms in it or just have it on the side. I said it was okay to put the lucky charms in the latte. When they called my drink was ready I double checked it was made with oat milk and they said yes. I took a sip of the foamy bubbly part on top and tried to have some of the lucky charms. Immediately I thought it tasted like whip cream and got nervous so I went back to check with them again to confirm there was no dairy in the drink. They said the cold foam has whip cream in it and I told them I had asked for no cold foam. (Keep in mind I have never ordered this drink before and do not know what “cold foam” looks like.) They said that was not mentioned on the ticket so they apologized and made me another one. I think these types of mistakes are unacceptable honestly. I felt extremely anxious afterwards and rightfully so because I ended up getting sick after unknowingly eating whipped cream. Why would you ask me if I want cold foam if you’re not going to include that important note? But I will say the girl that made my drink was nice and was not the one that took my order. We came in today and ordered chicken wrap, orea latte and a white hot chocolate. We paid and sat down and waited for 20 minutes. Chicken wrap was brought out. After 5-6 minutes, oreo latte was brought and then they informed us that they were out of white hot chocolate. I would have understood if it was told before while ordering or even 5 minutes after ordering but are you guys noticing this 25 minutes after the order was placed and the other two items were brought in already. Then, they asked if i wanted something else and i said that they can give chai latte instead. To my surprise, 5 minutes later, I am informed that they are out of syrup for chai latte. Amazing. Then, i was asked for other replacement and I asked for biscoff latte and then again after 5 minutes, the girl comes out and asks if it was for here or to go and then finally after more wait, we got the biscoff latte. Frustrated by this kind of service. First time visit, more of an observation on the staff. Visited today at about 2:45-3pm ordered a Biscoff latte (very yummy). While I waited for my beverage I noticed two of the staff interacting with one another, a taller blonde batista and what looked to be an older lady with brownish red hair, the blonde seemed annoyed with her during my visit I noticed while she was making another customers order who'd been waiting longer than me, somewhere along the lines the drink was too full causing it to spill over the sides. Rather than pour it into a new cup she ended up pouring it out to make it again. She seemed very annoyed and didn't mention anything to the customer, no apology. The customer didn't say anything but she turned to me and her eyes went wide, like are you kidding me. A simple, sorry about that I'll get a new cup or make you a new one.
