Nice people. Good food. Reasonable prices. Great customer service, whether you eat in the restaurant or get food delivered. Eat here, but, please...save me a seat 😎 Update: 🇨🇦 I've had the pleasure of returning to Alexander's many times. Not only is the food consistently good, the staff really know their stuff and are all really nice people. The steaks are some of the best I've ever had. Have you tried the gravy? January 2025 update: Have you tried the filet mignon with the peppercorn sauce? One of the best steaks I’ve EVER eaten. Just wow. 🇨🇦😎
(January 31st) Every time we eat here, we discover new things. We had the rack of lamb tonight. Some of the best I've EVER EATEN. Tell'm "Touzo" sent you. 😎🇨🇦
February 8th, 2025 - Skip the grocery shopping, the cooking, the dishes. Tonight we had the 7 oz. filet mignon, with vegetables and potatoes. The gravy for the potatoes was addictive, and peppercorn sauce for the steak, well, I just wish they’d sell it in jars to go. A nice Chianti rounded things off. Dessert? Yes please. A big piece of apple crumble pie with vanilla ice cream. They don’t call me “Body by Restaurant” for nothing. 😎🇨🇦 Helen, and George, I know your Mom is proud of what you’ve done. Airdrie’s a better place to live because Alexander’s is just down the street. 🎉🎉🎉
🎉🥳🎂 August 2025 update: We eat here quite often and I didn’t want them to feel obligated to do something special for my birthday, so we didn’t stop by that day. Well, when we stopped in the next night, they treated me like a king. There’s no stopping their kindness. Such sweet people. If you’re not eating here, you’re missing out. The steak is legendary, but have you tried the salmon? Wow. Steak of the sea. Tell’m “Touzo”...

Read moreAfter several recommendations from various groups, I chose Alexander’s for my birthday dinner.
We ordered appetizers and drinks, followed by main dishes and wine.
The calamari was too perfect - and not in a good way! I’ve NEVER had calamari that was all perfectly shaped rings. It reminded me of frozen calamari the likes of which you can purchase at M&M markets. It was chewy and not at all enjoyable. Definitely would NOT recommend. My husband and son did enjoy their onion soup though.
Our dinner arrived with our wine being poured into 6 oz glasses with the extra 3 oz in mini carafes. While the carafes were cute, I would have been more impressed if ALL my wine had been in the same glass. Further, we were not shown any bottles so for all I know we were served "Card-bordeaux".
My steak, while well cooked to a rare temperature was WAY too over-seasoned! I ordered the peppercorn steak which crusted in so much pepper as to be overwhelming.
My husband enjoyed his pizza though he did remark that there was too much pepperoni and it overwhelmed the other meats.
My son noted that there wasn't much sauce on his pasta and the sauce was just passable flavour wise.
The decor is dated and was more reminiscent of an Italian eatery than a steakhouse.
I will say that our servers, Madison and Lindsay were very attentive.
Overall, our experience was disappointing and going forward, we’ll be having our birthday...
