On the cold evening of January 12, 2024, I decided to try a restaurant that's really close to my new house in Airdrie. I was very hungry and excited to eat there. It was a very cold day, but I checked Google and it said the restaurant would be open until 11 PM. So, I thought it would be a good place to get dinner.
When I walked into the restaurant at 10 PM, the people who worked there didn't seem to want to serve me. The first thing a lady there said was, 'We are closing early tonight, please order quickly.' I felt rushed. I asked for a menu to look at because they had turned off the big screens that usually show what food they have.
While looking at the menu, I noticed the prices were higher than I expected. I remembered seeing a special deal on Uber Eats that was cheaper. But when I mentioned it, the lady said I could only get that deal if I ordered online. Then she told me that they had already turned off the Uber Eats app, so I couldn't order from there either.
In the restaurant, there was also a man who looked like he might be the boss. But he didn't do anything to help. He just had his head down on the counter and didn't talk to me. He was just flirting with the server.
This made me feel really sad and upset. You see, back at my home, just 200 meters away from the restaurant, my wife was waiting for me. She is going to have our baby soon and she was really hungry too. I thought this restaurant would be a friendly place, especially because we are neighbors and it was so cold outside. But they weren't friendly or helpful.
Edit after Owner's Response:
This is going to be he-said she-said kind of situation now. I was rushed in a simple sentence that please order quickly as it's last order and also she had turned off the uber order app so I couldn't order online. Why is it that something is available on Uber and not available in store. If that gentleman was the spouse of the server, why was he sitting in the restaurant like that as if he was a staff. Do the owner not allow a professional conduct of their staff ? Offering a free order of wings is not a replacement for lost respect of a customer. So keep your free wings to yourself as I do...

Read moreWent for their all you can eat wings.
First I arrived at 530, the place was dead inside not one customer except for one other table. Took a good 30 minutes from the time my table and I ordered to get the first orders of wings. I got the naked wings as I did not want to get breaded or boneless (basically just glorified chicken strips). Well on the poster advertising their all you can eat wings no where does it say that you will be charged $3 extra per 8 wings if you choose their naked wing option, again for the all you can eat promotion. I know the menu states there's a 3$ charge for the regular offerings, not their all you can eat promotion.
Second at no time during my dining experience did they mention that there would be a extra charge until my bill was given to me. I can understand charging 3$ more for their "boneless" wings or even their breaded "regular" wings. But to charge 3$ for wings that all they need to do is put them in the fryer with no extra steps, breading or anything added to them blows my mind.
Third if I was gluten free you're telling me that I would be charged 3$ more just because I want to enjoy all you can eat wings and not feel sick after ingesting a fair amount of wings?
All in all I will not be coming back as I had a terrible dining experience and really didn't appreciate basically being told to pay an extra 15$ because I wanted wings with no breading. If I could I really would give you guys zero stars as I believe you are operating this franchise with some very shady...
