Chicken N’ Dough Express — Restaurant in Ajax

We had a very disappointing experience last night which is unfortunate because the food itself was actually decent. I ordered a burger & poutine and my husband ordered a shawarma wrap and fire fries. He drove to pick up the food, came home and unfortunately they forgot to include the shawarma wrap. My husband called them back and explained how they had forgotten his meal, they apologized and he drove back there to pick up the wrap. The person working offered him an extra can of Coke for the trouble and he left again with a bag of food. Well he got home and instead of a schwarma wrap, they gave him a fish sandwich. So now he had driven back there twice to not end up with the right food. We called them over the phone and they did not offer a refund and instead suggested we drive back out there a third time. After all the trouble we are not interested in them attempting a third time to prepare our order correctly so he asked for a refund and were given a cash refund since they couldn’t figure out how to do it over debit. Pretty unfortunate that our evening was spent driving back-and-forth three times and walked away with an extra can of Coke for the trouble. I actually enjoyed my food, but my husband didn’t get to eat his fire fries until they were cold and soggy after driving back-and-forth twice since they forgot his food. I had the pleasure of trying out Chicken N' Dough location in Ajax for dinner. I originally ordered two pounds of wings (messy and honey hot flavors), order of fire fries and chicken quesadillas. I picked up my order and they were quite prompt in preparing the order. Once reached home, I realized they gave me everything except the fries. I was quite bummed out because I had heard great reviews about the fries. I called the restaurant to inform them about my situation and explained to them that since I was fasting the entire day due to Ramadan, I was looking forward to having a full meal. The restaurant owner apologized profusely and explained to me since it was during rush time, it happened accidentally. However he wanted to rectify the situation immediately and offered to deliver the order of fries to my home. Once he reached to my door, he politely apologized again and offered not just the order of fries but an ADDITIONAL large fire fries and 2 pound of wings. Both the fries and the wings were extremely flavourful, delicious and they can most definitely count me as a recurring customer! Thank you so much for the amazing customer service. My first time trying the restaurant, and it ended up being an extremely poor experience. I ordered the classic fried chicken sandwich using skip the dishes. It said the sandwich comes topped with buttermilk ranch sauce, pickles, cheese, and lettucce, and comes with a side of fries. I asked for no buttermilk ranch and pickles, so I was expecting a sandwich with only cheese and lettucce.

When I got my order, it had no fries, and the sandwich had no cheese and it was topped with what looked to be some spicy mayo coleslaw, that I don't like. So my order was just completely wrong and missing items. If you look at the menu here on google, they claim the same sandwich i ordered has completely different toppings than what is listed on skip the dishes. So aside from the fact they forgot my fries, they also are just false advertising what toppings are on their sandwich on skip the dishes.

Ultimately I got a refund for the food, but because it was the restaurants fault, I still had to pay delivery fees, service fees, and my tip to the courier from skip, and when I eventually got food from another restaurant instead of being $25, it was now around $35 to get dinner tonight.
