Visited Scrambles on Sunday June 16th, and there was a 15minute wait, thought to myself, this establishment must sell great food, anyways waited to be seated and was very warmly greeted. You don’t always get great customer service, however Lynette(hope i spelt that properly, kindly forgive me if I didn’t) was amazing. She answered all my questions and even made suggestions based on what “I wanted” and not what she thought I should have, that’s rare!! She had a beautiful Trini accent and elegant smile consistently, that experience alone on top of that great tasting breakfast enhanced everything. Thanks Lynette for your kindness and your humour, because of you; I see why business will run smoothly, great job Lynette, will be back for sure and will recommend others!!
My recurring visits to Scrambles in Ajax is because of the great food, and great Service by waitresses, personally for me Lynette stands out the most due to her exceptional personality and care for your needs, you can teach that or pay for it, this recognition is warranted and truly deserved by Lynette, she has integrity beyond reproach, she makes the difference for me at scrambles. It’s always a pleasure to tip her but it doesn’t do justice, she deserved a nice raise for her hard work ethic!!! The mango milk shake is a game changer which Lynette serves with much delight, thanks Scrambles for the food, and thanks for having Lynette as a stellar employee she deserves all the...
Read moreThis place was absolutely awful! The food took forever to arrive once we placed our order. I ordered pancakes which I could make better at home it wasn't worth the money. It came with bananas and sprinkle of powdered sugar, the bananas were brown in the center. I pushed them aside in my plate I refused to eat them due to the quality. As I began to eat the rubbery pancakes I noticed a hair in my food. I was completely disgusted as this wasn't something i was expecting. I called the server over to explain what I had found and she didn't seem all that concerned which I felt quite concerning. There were two men working in the kitchen that I could see as it's all opened concept. The one cook was wearing a hat which is allowed according to government guidelines however the other person wasn't wearing anything. This is a violation! I have personally taken the food handlers course and all hair must be either tied up, wear a hat or have a hair net on. This is to prevent hair falling into people's food! The server was quite dismissive towards my complaint which I felt was unjustified since IM the paying customer! I will be reporting this matter to public health as im sure there are other violations that are happening behind the scenes. I would not recommend this place I would suggest to find somewhere else to eat that's clean and follows government guidelines when...
Read moreLocated on Westney east side , going North before Clements, on the right hand side, coming South on Westney right after Clements on the left. There is a three cars parking space at the side of its entrance. It seems that there is not wheelchair accessible or wheelchair entrance. At the entrance, in this time of the year a Christmas tree 🎄. Once you are inside in our case we have somewhat to choose our place, they have limited sitting, table for a group for more than 4 in the middle, some tables along the windows, others along the wall, others along the counter and kitchen counter, and at the end near the restrooms. It seemed crowded. On the menu, early bird (before 11 a.m.), for children, Benedict eggs, Sandwiches, etc , etc. We got sit then we were asked about drinks, then after we ordered, we got our plates but we didn't have our clutery. We order two children's plates, pancakes & eggs, potatoes, toast and bacon, a drink was included in kids' menu ( milk or juice) . For adults, eggs, potatoes and bacon. Coffee was added to the bill. Service was standard, we have the impression that is under new management (we have not gone since the...
