Elevate Lounge — Restaurant in Ajax

The best Shisha cafe in the GTA. Period. Vibe was great, clean, nicely renovated. The food was good compared to most places. The Shisha was perfect. Forget what you had before. My guy said "Let me take care of you" and he did. For a shisha connoisseur like myself, my standards are high. This place blew my expectations out of the water. The Music varies, they cater to the crowd (which is exactly how it should be). I went on a weeknight so it wasn't too busy and I just requested a genre of music and they played a few tracks. Perfect.

I think I touched on everything someone looks for in a good shisha longue/cafe... but the very best thing about this place are the dudes running the place. They stopped to chat with us, welcomed us as it was the first time we had ever been there. They explained to us their love for their business and it showed. They created a place that they themselves wanted to be. What better business model could one adopt? I was thoroughly impressed.

If I had to give a piece of constructive criticism; bathroom. But knowing these guys I know they've already recognized that and have already made plans to renovate that too. I'm not concerned.

I live in Markham, approx. 35min drive (without traffic). I can promise you I will be back.... many times.

P.S. I made this review extra long because I hope people wont read it... I liked that it wasn't too packed. But I wish these guys every success in this...

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME

Worst experience ever! I paid for a ticket to get into an event and was denied entry by the staff and owners - first they asked me for my ticket - very rudely - then I showed it to them - then they said no one else was allowed in and out - then I watched folks I met downstairs outside go Back into the event, with no issue.

When I asked why some were allowed and not me they said the event was ending - although I know/saw folks who were in the event after (thanks social media)!

I will neeeevvvvver ever support this establishment again. They were extremely rude and discriminatory. They were fine to take my money but when they saw who was on the other end of the ticket they decided they didn’t want me in there?!?!

They can say whatever they want because they refused to give a refund or any sort of compensation - so it makes no other sense then you did not like the color of skin and the way my hair curls. I was 1 person who had someone who was waiting on me inside. They knew this they didn’t care - they only care about lining their already fat pockets. They are terrible business owners and even worst human beings.

Great spot and a welcome addition to Ajax. Entrance is at the side door and you have to go upstairs so don't look at the ground level to see if it is open or not.

Atmosphere is a lounge feel with lots of couches and dim lighting. TV'S on the wall to catch a game or whatever is on.

Servers and Owners are great. Friendly, attentive and will explain anything if you have questions.

Tandoori Chicken Burger was seasoned just right (not too spicy), and the chicken breast was moist. Fries were tasty and done proper.

BBQ pizza was a thickness a little shorter than a deep dish however the crust wasn't greasy but crisp.

Banging Shrimp was a breaded shrimp with a sweet chilli sauce it seemed covering it. Not too sweet and not really spicy. A really good app to share if you are a party of 2 or 3 for one order. All dishes were prices really well.

Chocolate cake was like a La Rocca cake which is moist, and flavourful (more on the sweet side if you like that).

Hookah was my first experience and the staff walked me through how and some of the best practices. The menu has a variety of flavors and the staff will come by and check on the coals for you.
