I can't say enough about the exceptional dining experience my family and I had at Karahi Point Ajax on a delightful Sunday evening. As a group, we had made reservations, and the moment we arrived, it was evident that our arrival was well-anticipated. We were promptly seated in a bustling restaurant filled with the happy chatter of other patrons, creating an inviting and lively atmosphere.
Now, let's talk about the food – it was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. Our table was adorned with a splendid array of dishes, including an assortment of naan, butter chicken, mutton, chicken tikka, and fish. Each bite was a revelation of flavors, meticulously crafted and prepared with a level of expertise that truly impressed us. However, the star of the show was undoubtedly the fish. Cooked to perfection and exquisitely seasoned, it left an indelible mark on our taste buds.
We indulged to our heart's content, savoring every morsel of this delectable feast. Despite my desire for dessert, the sheer abundance of the meal left us unable to take another bite – a testament to the generosity of Karahi Point's portions.
What made our dining experience truly remarkable was the impeccable service. The owner personally came to greet us, a gesture that made us feel like valued guests. Throughout the evening, the staff checked on us multiple times, ensuring that every need was met and that we felt like royalty.
Our time at Karahi Point Ajax was an absolute revelation. The impeccable food, the warm and attentive service, and the inviting ambiance combined to create an unforgettable evening. We left with smiles on our faces, already planning our next visit, eager to explore more of the tantalizing dishes this restaurant has to offer. Without a doubt, Karahi Point has earned a special place in our hearts, and we enthusiastically look forward to returning for more of their culinary magic. This was a dining experience like no other, and we couldn't be happier to have...
Read moreI always wanted to try this restaurant as last I tried was at Etobicoke location. We ordered the following dishes for a pickup on a Friday, July 16th evening for dinner:
Combo 1:
Half Chicken Karahi 1 Chicken Biryani 2 Naan 2 pops Salad and Raita
Curry combo:
Nihari Butter Chicken 2 Naan Salad and Raita
The ambiance is beautiful, and the service was spot on as the food was all ready to be picked up. The staff was pleasant and the restaurant had a lot of parking.
Unfortunately, food didn't meet the expectations, and usually, I am very flexible with rating, but 3 stars is definitely being very generous. It was a long day at the Toronto Zoo, and we were hungry, and the whole point of trying this restaurant was to reward ourselves with some delicious food.
Chicken Karahi's chicken had a smell as if it wasn't cooked properly or the chicken was out for too long before being cooked.
Biryani, on the other hand, was good but just like any other regular restaurant and nothing fancy.
Naan had burnt edges as if those were left for too long in the tandoor oven.
"Salad" only had few red onion slices and a thin slice of lemon like the one you decorate on a drink.
Raita was ok.
We only got 1 set of salad and Raita, and the other set was missing.
Nihari unexpectedly was one of the best Niharis we've had in Durham.
Butter chicken was a little too sweet, but my daughter liked it, so no complain.
Overall, if i were in the restaurant, I would've definitely asked about their offer of not paying if you dont like it, but its ok. I am in Oshawa, and I didn't feel like calling or going back
Once again, I do want to highlight the fact that it could be one of those days and you may have a better experience than mine, and I may try this restaurant again, but I'm not sure when.
Thank you. Please like my review if it helped.

Read moreI was very disappointed with the service and quality of food for Iftar dinner. I have been there in the past with my husband and invited my family for the first time. They made us place an e-transfer to reserve the table for 8 people. They asked if we were all adults and I confirmed. I also called on Saturday and confirmed the reservation so there would be no mix up. The woman on the phone told me the price would be 34.99 per person for weekends and 32.99 per person on weekdays. We were charged $36.99 per person. When we got there they had us sitting at a table for 6. It was a tight spot. They then moved us to another table that was a little more roomy but it wasn’t for 8 people. It was very hard to get in and out which is not ideal for a buffet. The food was very spicy and salty. There was only a small jug of water at the table and no one came by to refill, we had to constantly ask. Not ideal when eating spicy and salty food. The tandoori chicken had a funky taste. The fish was extremely oily. Towards the end the owner came to our table to introduce himself which I thought was nice. But then he whipped out a google review card and was begging us in the middle of dinner to take our phones out and scan the QR code to leave them a good review. Very unprofessional and bad etiquette. Especially since Google recently sent an email reminding businesses that this type of practice is against their rules. My entire family either had a stomach ache accompanied with diarrhea or just diarrhea. I don’t recommend. We will not be returning and my parents said that that was their first and last time.
EDIT: I have since contacted the restaurant and email provided in the response. The restaurant ignored my emails. They have not rectified the issue. They do not stand by their word, “if you don’t like it, then...
