I tried to send through the "Contact Us" on the Mr. Sub website but it appears to not work/would not take my feedback.
I visited your Mr. Sub Ajax location (15 Westney Road N) on Friday January 29, 2021 at approximately 6pm with my husband.
I ordered the advertised sub "Peppercorn Prime Rib sub with garlic aioli and peppercorn sauce" after seeing ads for it as well as after seeing a YouTube blogger visit a different Mr. Sub location and try this sub with great reviews of it, so I was interested.
I placed my order and loaded my toppings as requested. Now the most dissapointing part after I have already "built" the sub essentially is I am asked if I wanted both the garlic aioli and peppercorn sauce, which of course I do - it's the name of the sub right?? I am then told there is no garlic aoili and only peppercorn sauce. Being a huge garlic fan this was extremely dissapointing, and oh also one of the MAIN reasons I even went and ordered this sub in the first place. (Is garlic aoili not only in the name of the sub as advertised but also on the sign in the restaurant? How can you be out of this sauce?) I regrettably went through and purchased the sub as I am not one to kick up a fuss, especially since there was a line up behind me. However, this left my husband and I both with a bad taste in our mouth and we will not be back to this location or Mr. Sub in general as how can you advertise AND allow me to order a sub when knowing well you do not have the advertised toppings for it. I would have been ok if you told me when I placed my order, I would have switched to something else and wouldn't even being writing this. But for what I paid, and not getting what I wanted is what annoys me. $8.49 for the sub plus to to pay to add cheese, not worth for what I got. Very...

The place looked noticeably dirty, which was already a red flag. I don’t consume meat, and when I saw the staff member preparing my sub with the same gloves he used for handling meat, I had to ask him to change them. He seemed surprised by my request, which made me question their food safety awareness.
When it came to the veggies, I was shocked at how little he put on my sub. It looked sad, flat, and completely unappetizing—nothing like what you'd expect from a sandwich shop. I regret not taking a photo, but trust me when I say it was barely filled.
What bothered me even more was the difference in treatment. The staff member spoke to the customer behind me—who happened to be white—with a noticeably more respectful and polite tone, calling them "sir" and "ma’am." In contrast, he spoke to me like I was a child, hyper and impatient. It felt dismissive and borderline disrespectful.
To top it off, I noticed an older man sitting at a table when I arrived, and after I ordered, he went into the back and warmed up food that clearly wasn't from Mr. Sub. Is that even allowed? Would I be allowed to bring in outside food and use their kitchen? It just seemed unprofessional and unsanitary.

Read moreWhat a horrible experience. I went in on 02/25/21 and had the worse service. I understand people have bad days and that you were busy. I was excited to get a quick sub for me and my partner, there was two people ahead of me and I was waiting patiently. When it did get to my turn the lady who was serving me was acting like she was very much in a rush, I had ordered two subs, she seemed very irritated when I asked for extra cheese and cheddar cheese on it, it was like because there were other people waiting, I was a nuisance.
One of the subs which was a pizza sub. she didn't ask if I wanted to heat up the pizza sub which I had noticed she had done with the previous two customers, nor did she ask me if I wanted it to be a combo which I had wanted at the time but after being rushed I really didn't want to be there any longer. she assumed that was everything I wanted and told me the total price and that was it, she walked away and proceeded to clear her station she didn't offer me my receipt or really have any contact after that... I felt almost some bias as the other customers ahead of me were not treated that way, I was friendly said please and thank you so I'm extremely confused as to why I was treated this way.
