Nestled in the heart of Waterton Lakes National Park, the Beaver Tails stand is a true gem for anyone seeking a taste of Canadian culinary tradition. As a devoted food enthusiast, I couldn't resist trying out their renowned pastry, and I must say, I was not disappointed!
From the moment I laid eyes on the menu, I knew I was in for a treat. The variety of flavors available was staggering, ranging from classic cinnamon and sugar to inventive creations like maple bacon and s'mores. The aroma wafting from the stand itself was irresistible, drawing me in like a moth to a flame.
Opting for the classic cinnamon and sugar, I eagerly awaited my order. And when that piping hot pastry was placed in my hands, I was in absolute heaven. The exterior was perfectly crispy, providing a satisfying crunch with every bite. The interior was pillowy soft, with just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the savory notes.
What truly impressed me was the attention to detail. The cinnamon and sugar coating was evenly distributed, ensuring each bite was a delightful explosion of flavor. The portion size was generous, making it ideal for sharing with friends or indulging in a guilt-free solo feast.
But what truly made the experience exceptional was the picturesque setting. Enjoying my Beaver Tail while overlooking the serene beauty of Waterton Lakes was a moment I won't soon forget. The combination of flavors, atmosphere, and friendly service made for an unforgettable culinary adventure.
In conclusion, if you find yourself in Waterton Lakes National Park, make sure to pay a visit to the Beaver Tails stand. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or a local looking for a delicious treat, this place is a must-visit. Prepare to be captivated by the mouthwatering flavors, impeccable execution, and the sheer joy of indulging in a Canadian...
Read moreNot a fan of the Waterton location of Beaver Tails. It was one of the smallest I've ever had (actually, I'm quite sure thee smallest). Dough wasn't stretched properly - It was pulled to the edges to create a deep dish pizza crust. They also sell ice cream, but value and quality is better at The Big Scoop around the corner, where they make very good waffle cones and bowls for the same price Beaver Tails provides just a regular cone.
Further, this Beaver Tails location has a poster out that says every five star Google review will result in a donation to the Lethbridge Boys and Girls Club. I'm pretty sure that breaks a rule or two with Google. Five stars reviews shouldn't be connected with any benefits, be it direct or indirect. It would be more appropriate for donations to the Boys and Girls Club to be connected to revenue, instead of five-star reviews be they...
Read moreHaving eaten at a number of Beavertail chains across Canada, I don’t feel like this particular location lives up to expectations. It’s been hit or miss in the times I’ve been there.
First of all, the location was quite dirty. Hair by the til, dust built up, screws loose on the counter. It didn’t seem like there was proper sanitation in place as the gentleman from cash was going back to prepare dough to be fried. The ice cream freezer appears in dire need of being de-iced.
Bathrooms in the adjoining building were dirty, out of supplies, and smelled quite bad. I can’t speak to if this is part of the business or not.
The Beavertail itself was not cooked properly on my last visit; overdone on one side and dry. That being said, I have had perfectly done Beavertails from this location...
