Waterton Park Cafe — Restaurant in Alberta

AMAZING FOOD! I had previously read all the glowing and positive reviews about this place and decided to try it over the Labour Day long weekend on Sept 5, 2020. The owner was a nice gentleman at the front who comes out to greet you. He knows his product and is passionate about his food. His description about the food quality and his sustainable sourcing convinced us to give it a try. I ordered the Classic Cheddar and my friend had the Waterton Burger. The meal comes with a choice of drink and a bag of chips. It's a simple menu and they focus solely on doing a few menu items very well. The meat patties were thick and juicy, and you can tell everything was top grade. All the veggies were crisp and crunchy. The buns were fresh, soft, and lightly toasted and buttered. The best casual food you can get in the Park. It definitely made our personal top two list of best places to eat in Waterton for sure. This place is absolutely fantastic! I ended up having the bbq but my girlfriend and her mom had the soup and it's not that I regretted the BBQ but the smell made me a little jealous hahaha The Mini sliders btw were the cutest thing ever. The owner is extremely knowledgeable of the area and gave some very good tips on some must see sights in the area it's too lovely daughters are very on the ball and are very attentive Waiters. A good way to identify it is the neon sign it is the only neon sign in the town as far as I can see and is in the walkable District of town. The highlight of going here would be the pie! don't really remember what kind of pie but the owner said a friend goes out and Hikes locally and picks the berries.... or something like that hahaha When I come back I will definitely be...

We ordered one Waterton burger, a vegan burger and a bag of fries to share. The owner kindly veganized the veggie burger (no mayo, added the sautéed mushrooms from the Waterton burger, and wrapped it in romaine lettuce). The food was excellent. Both burgers were #realfood - no fillers, just deliciousness. The bag of fries was more than enough to share. A couple cans of pop rounded out our meal on the dog friendly patio.

The cafe looks to be family run and they take great pride in offering great food and service. They checked in on how our meals were and seemed genuinely interested in how we liked our food.

It felt a bit pricey, but everything does post-pandemic and in tourist towns. We'll definitely be back!
