Americano tasted burnt and was so hot I couldn’t drink for 10 mins; and then it tasted like dirty water. They offer 16oz and 20oz only; a great Americano has never existed in cup that big! Cool space, but that’s about it. And the irony of the writing on the cup was that the two staff weren’t even remotely happy. All in all, I’ll skip this place in the future.

stopped in for breakfast after reading positive reviews and had brewed coffee and breakfast sandwich of egg, back bacon and gouda cheese, toasted. both coffee and sandwich tasty and total for both was $11.45, so reasonable. sandwich would benefit from the addition of butter on the bun and a bit of lettuce. overall, a good experience.

This location in Claresholm is the sister to the Blackwood in Fort McLeod. The same products are offered here so there will be no surprises if you are familiar with the other location. One nice feature is that there is outside seating here. 5 tables are available on the sidewalk in front of the store. Bottom Line: 8.2 out of 10

A Hidden Gem of Claresholm: Blackwood Coffee Co. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Blackwood Coffee Co. and it is an absolute gem tucked away in the charming town of Claresholm. When I stepped inside, I was greeted by an ambiance that exuded warmth and modern style. The interior of Blackwood Coffee Co. is nothing short of adorable. The space is tastefully decorated, creating a delightful atmosphere that invites you to relax, unwind or open up your laptop to work. The attention to detail is evident, and it is clear that the owners have put a lot of thought and effort into making this place truly special. The tables were spotless, and the entire space smelled fresh and inviting. It's clear that the staff take great pride in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, which is a big plus in my book. Speaking of the staff, they were absolutely fantastic. Friendly, and attentive. The baristas were skilled in their craft and genuinely passionate about coffee, which added an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience. Now let's talk about the coffee itself. Blackwood Coffee Co. serves up some of the best brews in town. Whether you're a fan of a rich, bold espresso or prefer a creamy latte, their skilled baristas crafted my drink to perfection. In addition to its outstanding coffee, Blackwood Coffee Co. offers a delectable selection of pastries and light bites. In conclusion, Blackwood Coffee Co. is a hidden gem that should be noticed in Claresholm....

I was in Claresholm for the day so dropped into Blackwoods for a coffee. I have been to the one in Fort Macleod and it rates 5/5.

I was disappointed in the Claresholm location. The girl at the counter was quite rude. There were 3 ladies all speaking a foreign language and I had to wait until one of them got up from a table. I originally thought they were customers but they were the staff or the one lady was. There was no one else in the place. When I ordered a regular cup of coffee she said "we don't have coffee only Americano because the boss said no one wants it and it gets wasted. She pulled out a huge to go cup (I had planned on staying and having a square to go with it but she did not ask to go or stay) I could not imagine drinking an Americano of that size. I asked if there was anything smaller. "No" she said. I don't much care for Americano so just left. I felt like I was an imposition as she appeared to be only too anxious to get back to her conversation at the table she had been sitting at. A very disappointing visit after visiting the Fort Macleod location.

Some advice to the owner(s). Your staff is going to be hard on your business. I can't comment on the quality of the coffee as she said they don't serve "just coffee." I can't comment on the food because the staff was only too happy to get away as fast as she could to continue her conversation at a table without asking or giving me a chance...

Step aside Starbucks... this open concept coffee house has so many flavors to choose from that the combinations are endless. Nestled downtown just around the corner off hiway 3, I found it easily accessibile from my semi-truck (short walk). Upon arrival, you'll need to climb a few stairs where you can expect to be greeted by the friendly staff who are happy to make many suggestion (if you like variety). The entire place is well decorated with shelves full of purchasable merchandise (including teas). During these restrictive times (Covid-19), it's important to support local businesses. While fully compliant & closed for our indoor enjoyment, I was very happy to see that outside seating is available. The prices are similar to that of the larger city competition bars , but I believe it was quality for value.

  • I ordered a...
