Boston Pizza — Restaurant in Alberta

Not a good visit at all. not even a smile from the hostess, told her we had 9 guests and there was a sigh and one minute waitress wasn’t energetic at all. food was great, props to the cooks - the only reason I left a tip. waitress went on break while we were needing her, one of three children did not get a drink. did not check on drinks at all, if there were refills it was because we had to stop her to ask (she couldn’t open her eyes to see that 4/6 adults needed drink refills) and was quick to disappear. $7.99 kids meals and the kids were most excited for the kids meal dessert. When we were expecting her to ask what the kids wanted for a treat, she just brought the bills. when she brought the bills, they were not right at all. Had to go back and we waited oh probably another 10 mins for her to return. I felt like I should of gone over to help her figure it out.

Biggest waste of $65. We were in town for a wedding, I would of much rather used the cash to drive home and cook ourselves lunch. What makes a great waitress? Smile! Ask questions, be energetic, be funny, interact with the guests a little bit. Meet your guests needs before they can ask you (unless it’s completely a random question) going on a break? Okay excellent. Tell your guests that you are going on a quick break and ask if there’s anything they need before you sit down, OR tell them which wait staff is going to be helping them while you go on break. Realize who the guests are. Children are 95% most excited for colouring, dessert/toys at end of the meal. Make that experience happen for them.

This was literally the worst dining experience I have ever had. Upon entering we were told our group of 8 (4 adults and 4 small children )could not seat together due to covid rules, that's ok though we understand. However, they were allowing a table of over 6 adults and children to sit together because they had made a reservation prior. When asked about why we couldn't sit together the hostess and our server became incredibly snarky and rude. We were told we could speak to the manager and out came the most unprofessional individual who gave some spiel on how he would be better off serving minors alcohol than to seat us together (again, all while a table of 8 sat together right next to us) . Moving onto the service, HORRIBLE. Our waitress was rude, we got one drink and she continuously walked by our empty glasses, got most of our food orders wrong, brought out cold food,No utensils or condiments, or crayons for the kids. Any time we had to ask for service or ask a question she would repeatedly just walk away with no answer given. No apology, no one asked how the food was, checked on us as a table or any basic service. When bringing out the food we had at times 3 servers and no one knew where the food went or what tables it belonged to, and we're not talking about complicated orders. I'm not sure where the manager went but he never surfaced again to hold his team accountable or apologize for the complete disregard for professionalism. Will never eat here again, I'm not even sure how a business with such terrible customer service is even still in business. The only good thing they did was lower our bill on there own merritt but...

Order frequently from BPs and sadly left disappointed 9/10 times. They often miss items when ordering delivery. Unfortunately you'll have to wait another hour to get the missed items. Tonight I ordered and recieved my food completely botched. They used a small plastic container for meat sauce rather than the cardboard containers, so the container lid was melted due to the heat of the meat sauce, leaving the sandwich completely soaked. It was soggy and unappetizing. Also the simple garden salad was equally unappealing and had tomatoes when it should have red peppers. It also had some kind of flower sprout (assuming from the arugula). Seems the cooks/expo have no regards for the customers receiving the food. I'd leave a zero star review if possible. Boston pizza Innisfail has lost my business for good. You're better off eating at Mc Donald's.

Also response to the generic reply I got to this review. Maybe If you took the time to actually read my review you would realize not once did I mention the price of anything. I use to order frequently and had no issue with the pricing. My problem is that you spend all this money on take out and receive absolute garbage instead....
