This review is a reflection of my family/ friends’ dissatisfaction with the service/ customer service based on orders placed for pick up. There were two key separate incidences which pretty much sealed the deal for us influencing our decision not to support this establishment in the future as we will support other Okotoks’ restaurants and businesses that get it “right”. 1) A few months ago, after picking up the order and leaving a generous tip to support the business (tip of close to $20 on a $130 order), I discovered that my Caesar salad dressing was missing from the salad. This discovery was made only after getting back home. After unpacking and checking the paper bag 3x, it was clear to myself and my wife and friends, that no dressing was packed with the order. Hmmm…leave a tip…..and still get shafted and not being able to thoroughly enjoy my meal. Strike 1. Ok...chalk it up to everyone makes mistakes.....not a huge deal....just a bit of sourness left in my memory banks, 2) Yesterday, we were meeting with friends in Okotoks and another order was placed for pick up. We picked up the order, got home, and our family and friends were ready to devour our meal, only to find that when the sealed bag was open- it was missing an entrée item. Strike 2. My buddy and I DROVE BACK to pick up the missed item (on our own dime) and a quick apology was made. No offer to comp the item, provide a voucher for a future visit, nothing. No apologies for the inconvenience- just a quick ‘sorry’. Ok….you're busy….we get it....I think...... We get home and our wives have started to dig in and as we sit down- we quickly realize that the dry ribs that were ordered, were never packed with the order. We were so concerned about the entree items we didn't even think about the appetizer. Strike 3. At that point, we were done. My buddy wanted his ribs (justifiably so) and wasn’t about to go back for a 3rd time to get them. After calling the establishment, he received confirmation that the Manager would deliver it and would text my buddy to advise of his arrival. Let me preface this by saying that it doesn’t take that long to cook up dry ribs and it's about a 15 minute drive one way. Suffice it to say, there was no text and after an hour there was no delivery. Strike 4? When my friend tried to call (multiple times), it went straight to voicemail. I tried to call too....straight to voicemail. How is that for a customer experience people? 4 adults in the room and one kid- all repeat customers- all disappointed because of the service. Here we are trying to support businesses during this tough time and spoil ourselves after a long week of work- and we are greeted with disappointment. Will we order again from this establishment? Unfortunately not. Will we support others that understand customer service and work to get it right locally? Absolutely. ‘nuff...

My first time there. Entering through the front patio area is very inviting and would be a great area for eats but it was the start of the cold so that killed that vibe. Hahaha. Got seated in a booth which has plenty of room for two aside. Unfortunately waited quite a bit for the server to appear and ask us our drink orders. With her nervous demeanor she seemed very new and a bit inexperienced. That showed again when she brought our waters and drinks and accidentally pour some water on the table. The weird part is , she kinda just grinned and walked away. We were a little thrown off by this but one of the more senior servers seen the mishap ND quickly came over and apologized and wiped the table for us. We all just ordered entrees. One was the fish and chips. One piece was super moist and full , the other quite a bit of a smaller portion which made it over cooked. Another dish was a bowl, a chicken bowl but not sure the exact name. It was very good and a great portion. I ordered the blackened chicken fettuccine alfredo. This dish , was the best on the table by far. The last of the chicken was perfectly cooked and spiced. The pasta was done fantastic and the sauce was amazing. I will be ordering that dish again for sure. Highly recommended. The overall feel for the dishes was a 8.5-9 for sure. The serves was okay , which maybe she's new and learning but reading the table is a very good trait to have as a server. Overall the experience was great. One little thing I noticed and it's because im a huge sports fan was the TVs were on sports but the majority of the TVs were showing a previous played NFL game amd not the Thursday Night Game that was already in progress. I get some of you may not think this is a big deal but again, customer service means a comfortable customer will enjoy their experience more and spend more time and money there, especially when Brewhouse is a 5sec walk away and their TVs would be very be wrong. In saying that , I would highly recommend and highly prefer Browns over...

It's just not good enough and it's too much money. There are at least 4 pubs that are better within the town of Okotoks. I used to go frequently because they allow kids, but after awhile it just became too much. I returned recently after several months away and I'm done. I think only 98% of the meals come with fries (which aren't particularly good) and they try to charge you $3 to switch to a tiny salad... $3 to give your fries to them and receive a $2 salad in return!!? The beers are small and too much money. They used to have a steak sandwich that was either $24 or $27 - LoL! It might as well have been $117 because who's going to pay that?!? I assume that's why it dropped from the menu but now it's a pub without a steak sandwich, which is a bit odd. The service is weird. They make the servers and hosts do EVERYTHING, so they struggle to keep up. Tend bar, serve, host, serve food, stack dishes, wipe glasses, etc. It's silly and their "wait for the hostess" thing is silly, too. I've had excellent service a few times and mostly good service but there have been a couple times where the service was quite poor. The food is generally pretty good, but the menu kept changing. The chicken street tacos used to be AWESOME but they're gone. The Hollywood Burger is quite good. The wings are not great. The nachos are OK... So, like I said, it's just not good enough. It's probably twice as good as any BP's but still my fourth pick in a small-ish town and because I can't imagine 3 other places being full, I'm not...

My husband and I dined here for the first time lastnight. My husband had his heart set on fish and chips and a beer on tap. After we were seated and set to order, we found out the fridge was broken, so only bottled beer was available. I think the hostess should have informed us as we would have gone elsewhere. I ordered the pub burger which was really good. The fries were just warm. My husband's fish was perfectly cooked but his fries were just warm along with not very many. He ordered gravy as did I, he got gravy, I didn't. It was enough to share though. The gravy isn't like any gravy we've tasted, more of a sauce. It almost had a tomato base to it. I ordered a glass of wine and my husband got water. Once we recieved our food, we were not checked up on once. I wanted another glass of wine but our waitress didn't check in with us. When it came time to pay, I needed to go find her. There was another couple holding their credit card for at least 10 mins waiting for their server to bring a machine. There were 2 other servers out in the covered patio serving other tables. Apparently, it was way busier than normal. So in my opinion, ask one of the other servers to check on other tables so they're not just left. Food was decent, service was non attentive. Disappointing experience.

Went there for lunch yesterday and had the most delicious meal! We started off with the house white wine and the new Red Sky summer cocktail, followed by fries with their home made gravy. Amazing gravy, would recommend it as an addition to any meal! For our main course we had the Fish Tacos and the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. Both meals we perfectly spiced with a great kick on the Nashville Chicken, dipping it in the gravy was a great way to balance the heat. I was surprised that the house salad we each had wasn't the typical bland house salads you would see in restaurants but a hybrid between a coleslaw and garden salad, great addition to the entree. In between courses we had a visit from the new manager, Matthew, whom we chatted with and he brought out a small taster of their new tomato soup for us to try, I look forward to having a full bowl of it when it isn't 30 degrees outside! Our waiter, Nicole, convinced us to try dessert so we opted for the key lime pie, while the pie itself should have been kept in the fridge just a bit longer as it melted quite quickly on such a hot day, the crust just soaked it right up for a tasty treat. Great way to end the meal! All in all, it was a great experience and I look forward to going back soon!

***EDIT*** We heard from the general manager after I put this review up. He was very apologetic and agreed that there should have been better service after a mistake. He then sent us a letter and a gift card to have dinner again on him, and promised to follow up with the appropriate staff so the same thing doesn't happen again. Mistakes happen. While it could have been dealt with sooner, the way he made it right was great, and I appreciate how he went above and beyond. Thanks a bunch. Looking forward to using our gift cards soon.***** Original review: We ended up here for dinner after our first three choices were closed (Sunday eve). Our food was good, but really small for the price. $8 poutine was tiny, then my meal sized salad was only half full - literally. Half salad, half not-even-full chicken breast on the other side. We asked about it, and apparently they made it wrong, was supposed to be a full bowl. Our waitress was really helpful, but the manager only offered 25% off because "I didn't ask about it sooner." Come on guys, that should have been comped. Not great customer service.
