I never ever review but my husband and I couldn’t stop talking about our experience.
We have been to RR numerous times, but I went with my husband to dine in last night for Valentine’s day, and the place was PACKED. It’s almost never like this (from our experience), so I was shocked when we walked in to a full table room.
The service is often super attentive, professional and personable, but that’s when it’s only 3, maybe 4 tables. We were worried that the service may be a little subpar (which would be understandable!)
BUT, even with the chaos in the restaurant, our server, Alyssa, was still extremely attentive and crazy kind. She took her time to adress our questions thoroughly, which made us feel like we were her only table, despite her having many. She made sure to inform us of the specials as soon as we were seated, and then continued to provide updates on when our food was coming out throughout the night - whenever she passed by. We also noted that she was giving stickers to another tables kiddos when she had a minute, which we thought was just adorable!! The parents were telling us that she, specifically, always does this. Seriously a family friendly restaurant- right down to their staff. If you have kids, they also have a whole section of board games and toys as well; blocks, a mini kitchen, etc.
The other waitress (didn’t catch her name) was also very kind, and made sure to check up on us periodically as well.
I believe they only had two servers(?), so as a longtime former waitress myself, both my husband and I were very impressed by how they handled the night. Our main food came out within 30 minutes, and our salad came out within 10, which was even more impressive; kudos to the kitchen workers! I can imagine how it must’ve looked back there! LOL.
Red Rock staff.. give yourselves a pat on the back! Amazing food, top notch service, and a...
Read moreMy recent dining experience at Red Rock Pizza In Okotoks was met by the unprofessional behavior of our waitress (Alyssa) . It was evident that she was under the influence of some substance during her shift, which greatly impacted the quality of service we received.
From the moment we were seated, it was clear that something was wrong. The waitress seemed disoriented and had difficulty focusing on our table. She forgot our orders, mixed up items, and even stumbled while trying to walk. It was not only unsettling but also compromised the overall dining experience.
Communication with Alyssa was challenging, as she often slurred her words and struggled to understand our requests. Our questions regarding the menu were met with confusion, and she seemed incapable of providing helpful suggestions or recommendations.
Moreover, her behavior became increasingly erratic as the evening progressed. She exhibited unprofessional conduct like dropping food on the floor without acknowledging it. This level of negligence and lack of awareness was unacceptable.
While the rest of the staff seemed aware of the situation, the response was disappointingly inadequate. It appeared as though no action was taken to address the issue or reassign our table to a different “fit for work” server. The lack of concern from the management left us feeling disregarded and dissatisfied with the establishment as a whole.
our experience at Red Rock failed to meet even the most basic expectations. I hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and takes appropriate measures to ensure such incidents do not recur.
I would not recommend coming to Red rock until they address their staffing issues and maintain higher...
Read moreThis is Okotoks newest pizza place (Nov 2020) and I appreciate their approach to pizza out of the ordinary. I haven't been inside the restaurant yet to eat(COVID19) however I have ordered from here a few times as they offer a Gluten Free Crust (Cauliflower based) which is actually quite good. I have tried the Mango Tango, the Fungi, Bad Santa (their festive season pizza) & their most recent edition of Pad Thai (IT IS AMAZING!!!). All have been extremely scrumptious, though admittedly the Mango Tango + Fungi pizzas are my favourite combination when I order 2 pizzas. I usually try to limit myself to 2 pieces but have been known to polish off much more than that lol.
The staff are great, they are welcoming at the door and on the phone. The pizza is consistent with toppings, flavours and amounts. Timing is also consistent as well.
They are also community focused and think creatively which speaks volumes of what a great group of people they are. Over the holidays they opened up a community market in their restaurant for local artists, creatives and home based businesses to showcase their work & promote local shopping for gifts which I thought was completely amazing to give back to the community.
There are some blue parking stalls shared with the other businesses in the strip mall, the sidewalk leading up to the restaurant is wide. I am unsure if there are bike racks for cyclists nearby. The parking is ample as Red Rock is located in the corner of a complex of businesses which has a HUGE lot. Easy to walk to as well. I have never dined inside and can't speak to the accessibility of the interior at the time of writing this. The entrance is clean and the staff are welcoming when...
