May 28th 2023 11:45 AM My partner n I stopped in here this time because so many folks recommended this place and so today was the day. My partner n I ordered a Cheese burger special and added bacon and a Mushroom burger with Onion rings and fries and a drink. It is a nice drive in outside seat type establishment and certainly hits that mark for me and the added touch is they have a dog bone treat jar with a water dish. Kinda cool so I'd say this place is Dog friendly and hopefully the dog owners can keep their pet under control from other patrons. This place got me once. Never Again will I come here Lets get to the lunch shall we. ! If you're looking for a good reason why cooking at home is probably your best option eat here just once, and you too will walk away never to return. Well have a look at the Picture. and you tell me. The Bacon cheese burger and mushroom burger were disgusting and I'm sure the burgers are cooked fresh from frozen. We ate half of each burger to give the food a fair try and we wrapped up our other half's and gave it to the dogs. The beef patty's were tasteless and the bacon was not crisp but rather pull apart and something went horribly wrong with the cheese or at least that's what It looked like. The onion ring batter was coated alright but belongs on fish but they are missing 2 key ingredients. ( I didn't go to culinary school in 1998 to give that away for free ) and needs to be cooked 1 minute longer. Yes minutes matter. We weren't quiet sure what was on the mushroom burger some kind of runny sauce or was it just the extra water from the mushrooms and it too was thrown together with a slice of cheese thrown on top. The Crinkle cut fries and the Iced Tea were good. The presentation of food was diner quality but certainly at par. The kids making the food could use a bit more training in my opinion. Unfortunately talking to staff will not help in complaining about food quality and how one's lunch was prepared will only fall on deaf ears i'm afraid So that's why this Google review. I hope the owner listens tho.. and maybe one day he or she will hire someone to do a mystery evaluation but I doubt it. You'd be better off walking across the street to Boots n Barrels or Dairy Queen for a burger. We paid $25.00 and threw the fries and onion rings in the garbage and gave half our burgers to dogs. Did this place change owners ? ? ? ? However. ! If you do decide to eat here. I want to be the 1st to say. Told ya so.

Omg...YOU HAVE TO STOP HERE. Traveling home from Edmonton to Calgary, decided to stop in and grab something for on the way. Not just the average pull off the highway site for sure. But I would purposefully make this stop again and again. Got the pizza burger, rodeo burger, deep fried pickles and fries and gravy, and onion rings. W...O...W My boyfriend and I have the "rating" burger places game. (I have never found a 10/10 burger) Find a burger place and rate the food. So here goes... Pizza burger... 9 Fries and gravy...9.8 Rodeo burger...10 Onion rings...5 Deep fried pickles...7 (needs dip) They also have a treats and water dish for dogs.... :) In the pic, boyfriend ate his pizza burger too fast..lol

Absolutely lovely staff. But their poutine is made with a weird white sauce, and they have the THINNEST burger patties I have seen in my life. McDonalds has monster patties in comparison. Absolutely the worst lunch I have had in years. I ate half, because I was really hungry. And there was no point in complaining - they can't change their patties or gravy on request. So disappointed. It should have been an awesome meal.

I've been a consistent customer of d&r since I was young it has been a go too for my family and I. The slower than average service over the last few years since it got new owners hasn't bothered me. It's something that happens. But today really was a step too far. As I recently acquired a right hand drive vehicle and have been avoiding eating out on my lunch hour due to the inconvenience ignoring drive through ability. I thought hey D&R has an easily accessible drive through I'll just do it backwards. Boy was I wrong! I backed up to the window to be told by the owner that I will not be served unless I drive through in the proper direction. When I informed him that he will not be asleep serve me from the other side and I was just trying to make everyone's life easier I was told in a very disrespectful manner that I would not be served and to leave the drive through. I meant no disrespect by my actions and as I visit a minimum of twice a week in my other vehicles I never would have expected to be treated this way. My family and I will no longer be supporting their restaurant for no other reason then the attitude of the owner. I am very disappointed in how he conducted himself in this...

Unfortunately I have to give a poor review for a place I have enjoyed for the most part for 40 years. Over the past few months it has been hit and miss. I see what they are doing to try to speed up the process to be “fast food”…pre-frying things. I would prefer GOOD food over fast food. The past few times I have been there…within the past 2 weeks…the fries were overcooked and dry. Inedible. You can cover that with mushroom gravy which is usually delicious but when the fries are inedible then the whole thing falls apart. You are known for your mushroom fries. I don’t even trust that I can get that again done properly. Prices have gone up and I understand that but this is unacceptable. Also, twice in the past 2 months I ordered Mozza sticks that were so over fried that there was no cheese left inside…I paid $7.75 for 5 cheese-less Mozza sticks! Not ok. I’m so sad and disappointed. Please do better. My family and I won’t be back until you do and I hear from others who say it’s back on track. Just sad :( I wish I took photos before I threw it all in the garbage but I was just so mad and disappointed I couldn’t even look at this so-called food...
