The reason this place gets two stars for me was definitely more-so related to the food, then the service.
Me and my girlfriend stopped in to Fireside Restaurant last weekend on a road trip. As I walked in , there seemed to be lots or room (almost too much room) in the restaurant, and for a Friday night, there was nobody in there! I was shocked after seeing the reviews, that It would be really busy. I guess not. I'm not complaining about that. Just kind of confused that it got amped up so much on the reviews.
Shortly after I was sat down, I wasn't really impressed eith the service. The lady was trying to be overly nice, and didn't even ask what we wanted to drink. The service I would probably give a 3 or even a 4 out of 5, but the food kind of ruined that for me.
First off with the food, ill start with a positive note, the portions are big, you get two sides as well as soup and salad to start, and thats something that translated with the reviews. But other than that, the menu was a disaster, it was hard to understand what you were getting, and the actual RESULT of the food was a shame. I had to return the first item on the table, the soup. It was luke warm, I could literally grab the bowl with my hand. The entree wasn't any better. The highlight was the fries.
When I asked her to take the soup back, she kept insisting that she would bring me another one, to the point where I couldn't decline. I truly didn't want the soup, she even charged me for it, even though the first one was bad.
The reviews didn't completely seem accurate to me. Either that, or I truly didn't enjoy this form of home cooking.
I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody, or go...
Read moreWorst restaurant ever, i was trying to call but no one picked up the call then I placed online order and waited 30 minutes but when I went to pick it they said they never received the order, they have wifi issue. So I placed the order at restaurant, told me 20 minutes and it took them 40 minutes to prepare it, no one was at the reception I have to go at the back to ask how long it will take. Food was expensive and below average. They charged me $9 for one piece of ras malai, are you kidding me this is straight up robbery. They didn’t pack the food properly either by the time I got home half of the food of spilled. They don’t have a professional cook, it taste like it was prepared by an amateur cook.
I paid $18 for kababs and you can check the quality and quantity of it in the picture. Naan was frozen, mix veg was not properly cooked and throw frozen vegetables in it and didn’t bother cook it. I don’t understand how they are allowed to operate like this.
Everything I bought was either frozen, store bought or uncooked. Not even a single item was decent. Completely trash place, food and service.
Their washroom didn’t have handsoap or paper.
I am so upset that I spent my time and money on this garbage place. This restaurant needs to shut down for good.
Never hated a restaurant experience so much.
Overall wasted my money, time and energy here. PLEASE DONT GO TO...
Read moreOur first and likely last visit to this restaurant, we arrived just as they are opened around 11am, I ordered the beef souvlaki which is on their " lunch " menu, however, the waitress claimed that they don't have rice or baked potato till 4pm, no big deal I thought, more vegetable was offered as substitute, I was starving so when the food arrived, I put a piece of beef in mouth and immediately spits it out, not only was it way over cooked, it smell and taste sour like the meat was expired long before it was cooked, I ended up getting lamb instead, took a while before waitress brought the lamb out and she made a fuzz about their chef made rice for me, one look at the new dish and I know there is no way I'll eat it, the rice is very soupy like porridge, the lamb is again way over cooked, by this time, I lost my appetite. I read their google reviews and must admit that I'm shocked at their ratings, we definitely did not received the same service or food quality like others, I regret choosing to eat there and even leaving...
