We arrived in Innisfail an hour or so before we could check-in to our hotel so we decided to head over to The Coffee Cottage. It was a really cute place. They have created several small conversation areas that make you feel like you have the place to yourself. My kiddos picked a private sitting room with four club chairs - perfect for sitting to enjoy our drinks. The counter staff were super friendly. My kiddos ordered "kid friendly" lattes -- mocha latte and caramel/vanilla latte. The staff offered to make these with decaf or as steamers. They have a selection of non-dairy milk options, but otherwise use 3% milk which makes for a very frothy and creamy drink. They also made them not too, too hot for the kids so they could enjoy them right away. My kids loved them. I had a nonfat steamer with SF vanilla syrup and it tasted like a white hot chocolate along with one of their veggie egg cups. Both were yummy. It was towards the end of their day, but they still had a good selection of cookie bars, muffins, and other treats available. As we enjoyed our drinks, one of the co-owners who was busy moving some art work around in preparation of a showing of a local artist's work in their upstairs area, stopped and had a lovely chat with us. He was so kind and even mentioned a thing or two to see while we were in town if...
Read moreQuaint little cafe with different homie rooms to have a chat with some coffee and a bite to eat. Beautiful and interesting sitting rooms and deck with lovely decor. The Turkey Dill bun sandwich was great, so was the potato soup. Also, the coffee was fantastic! Very sweet vibe and nice staff adding wonderful extra touches, like asking if I wanted fresh chopped green onions on top of my soup. Yum! The only thing I would change is to add a bit of chill cottage music in the dinning hall. It was very quiet while eating, which I’m sure some people like, but I like a bit of white noise in cafes… personal preference though, no stars lost because of that small detail. I’m only in this area a couple times a month but will definitely be back to try the other sandwiches and baked goods. Excellent...
Read moreThe Coffee Cottage in innisfail is a must try. I treated myself to a green tea raspberry refresher (delicious and not to sweet), a cinnamon bun (soft on the inside and Carmel on the out side..yum), and both their daily soups (I brought a cooler for what I didn't finish😅) one was their Turkey Dinner Soup and one Dill Pickle soup while they were both a bit on the salty side but they were delicious and full of lots of great flavors and definitely made in house. I had seen they also had egg salad sandwiches on a huge house made white bun 🎵I like big buns and I cannot lie🎵 ...sorry (not sorry🤣) they have so many little nooks to relax in and a out door patio both in the front and upstairs in the back. I will definitely go...
