I really wanted to like this Dairy Queen and I even gave a good review at one time but sadly the only good experience I have had with this place is once!
I have had long hair in my banana split, bad experience ok, money in the garbage, I have had an entire box of freezer burnt buster bars (which I was informed someone else complained about/but given no compensation), in garbage. I have had items missing from my order, money again thrown out the window. Today I waited about 20 mins for a cheeseburger meal w/Diet Pepsi (no carbonation), onion rings (they gave me half an order of old fries and no onion rings) and a strawberry sundae w/hotfudge. They almost forgot my sundae, then gave it to me without hot fudge, which I informed them (they added it). I also ordered a chicken sandwich (see tomato in photo). The only thing right about this order was the poutine (which was also made with fries that looked as though they had been sitting all day/note:maybe it’s time to change your grease! $27 again in the garbage! I have absolutely no problem waiting for my order in the drive through but how can it take 20 mins to mess up almost an entire order and then give out garbage. From my honest observation you have young people willing to work however there is a serious lack of organization and leadership. No one seems to know what they are doing and I have personally witnessed (when ordering inside) two employees doing the same thing and then laughing about it while there is a line up of cars in the drive through. Today the girl taking the orders in the DT was making ice cream for the cars behind me meanwhile my sundae hadn’t been made, and while the other employee was making my sundae, the girl taking the order says, what are you waiting for from your order.
If management or an owner reads this: your staff are incredibly kind and polite. I believe that they have the ability to make this Dairy Queen shine if given proper direction and are trained how to organize tasks. They always seem like they want to do well. Please give them some direction so that I can support this local business. Looking at the reviews I am not alone in my constant negative experiences. There were four people working that I could see from the drive through and this was at 4pm. There was no one ordering inside and when I arrived at the drive through there was no one in front of me. Other then lack of training and leadership there is no other reason I could see the constant negative experiences. Please do better and set your staff and business up...
Read moreThe owner of the location is extremely hostile, unprofessional, very RUDE! My family and have gone there for a long time, but however the last 4 visits has been nothing but disappointment, cruel customer service and complete shameful correction of their own faults. Us customer's chose locations to pay OUR hardworking money to treat our families at. Regardless what is we ordered. The past 3 times was meals and blizzards, and because the fries were soggy and not fully cooked. The blizzards were only filled with toppings half way through. The manager working that day ( who was willing to correct the ongoing issue who was most certainly not the owners) put my boyfriends name in the book and said your next order is free, Regardless what is because we have a family of 5, not 1 not 2. 5. Our last visit and definitely will never being going back to that one, he was surprised to be humiliated with confrontational eye contact, loud, annoying screams, and straight up talking down to as a customer only because he wanted our families ordered fulfilled as promised. He walked out with nothing. I will be in touch with the BBB, Dairy Queen head quarters and some other things I think need to be addressed. Don't go there unless you want to be treated like another number instead of hard working human beings who chose to go into a placement as such. I do have proof and because of these poorly runned down stores I choose to show the people who can actually do something about it. I will now either be driving to Calgary or high river.
The store owners should be ashamed. It's not the customer fault the original orders were disappointing and who could blame them. After all for a family of 5 and minimum we pay 60-80 ( ice cream is factured into that amount) you chose to humiliated and saying " WHY DONT YOU JUST GO HOME AND MAKE YOUR FAMILY FOOD" LADY IN +36 WEATHER NY THE RIVER AND HAVING YOU PROMISE SOMETHING THEN BREAK IT THEN TARE DOWN A CUSTIMER LIKE THAT IS PATHETIC! your the issue.
I've showed lots if people, now Google can see HOW you handle your RUDE mouth, and shaming. I've also seen Alot of other customers reviews on fb float around. I'm not one of those people who take cruel treatment.
Cmon show all your...
Read moreSo, I have been trying to be nice and not give my review of DQ, but today, it was just pathetic. Doesn't matter if I go in there and order, order online for pick-up, or order from Skip the Dishes, DQ ALWAYS FORGETS SOMETHING OR MESSES UP MY ORDER. At least when I go there I can go back in, but on Skip I have had to drive back over there after I have gotten my order delivered and get them to fix their mistakes at least 10-12 times in the last 3 years. In the last 3 years, while being in the store and ordering, I checked the bags and, surprise, suprise about 6 times I have had to get them to fix thing or give me things that they have forgotten. Now, because they are an Okotoks business and I grew up here, I was trying to let them get their act together, but it got worse, actually. When you pay $17+ per meal, you would think that the quality would be good, but today, they made me mad. The old owners would always fill the gravy to the top, I always had cold drinks, and I always had a good amount of ice but not too much. I will post a picture of the pitiful excuse for 1/4 filled expensive gravies and the piss warm, flat, no ice Dr. Pepper they sent me today. Honestly, DQ Okotoks needs to get their act together. Also, every time I go in there, they have about 3 people working, and it is always young kids. Maybe they do that on purpose, so we don't get mad at the service we get. Anyways, how about hiring more people to work there? Then, probably pay them better because no one truly does want to work there, and then train them better because they are all kids and the owners obviously don't care if they know how to do their job. I actually feel bad for all those kids working there because they probably get yelled at a lot...
