Had a great previous experience with this Marble Slab last year for my daughter's birthday (which is why this isn't a 1 star review). Sent in a photo for a cake and it came out exactly as ordered. So it was an easy decision to bring my business back again for another cake order this year. Unfortunately, the print was supposed to be purple and pink, and came out green and yellow. Some variation of course should be expected when printing cake toppers, however, I wrote specific instructions requesting to be contacted if there was any issue with the imaging. In short, when I picked up the cake, not having heard that anything was awry, I was dismayed to find a cake with an image that was completely discolored from the image I provided. The counter attendant had the audacity to then tell me there had been a problem with the image I gave them. As a photo professional of many years, I suspected strongly this wasn't the case. The attendant went back to management with the cake and then came back to me with the story that the printing had been unreliable and the photo has been fine. Their printer could go "up and down".... A very disappointing experience for a $60+ cake. Thank goodness my daughter is young, and couldn't have cared less about the color, but the service is unreliable at best with questionable...
Read moreLove the ice cream, pricey but worth it. The Poko Popcorn..... I splurged and got a small for $5.89 (or whatever but it was just under $6). Expensive for popcorn. The bag was a little over half full. I'm not one to complain, but I asked if is normally not completely full. I was told with a smile (everyone is friendly here:) that they are only allowed to fill it so she can roll the bag over 3 times. Oh well... Live and learn. But I will never buy that again. The popcorn profit margin is ridiculously high, even if the bag was packed full. At 50 cents a handful, it is embarrassing. I am not sure if Marble Slab is a franchise and they have to sell what coorporate tells them to, but if I was the manager I would be mortified and beyond embarrassed to sell something that overpriced.
