Ricky's All Day Grill - Okotoks — Restaurant in Alberta

I love breakfast at Ricky's. The breakfast menu at Ricky's offers a great variety of delicious things to choose from. They have all your typical favorites that you would expect but they also have some very good signature brekkie bowls chicken and waffles and some of the best pancakes I've had my personal favorite is the strawberry supreme. They also have some great all-day breakfasts. One of my go-to's is the 2x5 which has two eggs two sausage two bacon two pancakes and two slices of toast. All that for only $16.99 you can't beat that !! They also offer a very good lunch menu and anytime I've come here the food comes out very quickly I love their hand battered shrimp as a starter. To go with that I'll also have a Philly cheesesteak which is a little bit on the pricier side however they do stack it on nice and thick for you. For the kids they have a very good selection of stuff that the kids always love but what they love the most about coming here with us is the treasure chest of toys they get to choose from at the end of their meal... This used to be mine and my hubby's favorite place to dine for breakfast. We enjoy a good breakfast on the weekends. Today was the second time we had a horrible experience in the past 2 weeks. Service is slow and poorly managed. We wait now for more than 20 to 30 minutes to even get our drinks. The service, in general, is poor at best. The food is just as bad. I ordered the two by five meal. My bacon and sausage were so overcooked that they were like dust when I tried to peirce it with a fork !!! Un edible. My scrambled eggs were cold and burnt. The potatoes were hard as a rock. We literally spent 60$ to have 3 bites of food. Our waitress didn't ask how our food was. Or return to our table to see if she could refill our beverages and / or help with anything after dropping our plates on the table. I will not be returning. This is sad for us. As I said. The food was alright and our server was really nice but we found so many hairs in our food. We found a hair in our nachos which I don't suggest getting as the cheese wasn't melted, they used the crappy coloured nachos, and it just wasn't very good but we found a hair in that. We also had a hair on our sausage and just on our plate and there was a hair INSIDE of the pancakes. They made a fuss when we said we weren't paying for it and when we confronted them about it they said the first hair was their fault but there was no way the other hairs were their fault so we asked if they wore hair nets and they said no they just wear hats. so it was 100% their fault.
