Turner Inn Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Alberta

My dad and I went for Chinese food. We had Special D on the yellow menu. And I have to say the food was very delicious.The ginger beef was cooked just right ! It wasn't too soft or too crispy. It had just the right amount of ginger, teriyaki sauce, and crunchiness. And the chow mein was superb ! The flavor, the texture, and just the right amount of veggies. My dad and I sure didn't go wrong ordering that dish. And our server. Well. She was a cute, pretty little thing. I never asked for her name. But she was polite, friendly, cheerful, and loved smiling. Like I said, she was cute and pretty ! Alright, she was a very attractive woman. But her service and attention were very good. She has the right attitude for being a server. Even our order taker was very attentive. She refilled our glasses with water. Before they were empty ! She, too, was very polite and courteous. Overall, I would have to say that my visit to this restaurant. Was a very delightful and pleasant one. My dad and his common law wife Jean. Go there every other weekend. But they like the food there. So they frequent this...

There are a number of good eateries in Turner Valley which is amazing considering the size of the town--but my absolute favourite is the Turner Inn, an unassuming little restaurant in the strip mall by the Esso Station. The Chow Mein is supposed to be astounding and the person who introduced me to the Turner Inn is devoted to the chow mein, but I cannot resist the combo lunch (or dinner) for one. The sweet crispness of the ginger beef is addictive, the lemon chicken is absolutely superb (pure chicken breast), and the ample quantity of fried rice is totally sufficient to sop up all the sweet deliciousness of the ginger beef sauce. All of this for $8.50 (or $9.50 at supper time). I can't bring myself to eat anywhere else in the region. Try it. ...

We stopped by for dinner after reading positive reviews online. The restaurant was super busy but still we were greeted as soon as we entered and seated immediately at a cozy table for two. The staff member who took our orders was delightful; friendly, professional and funny. Our meal was very good and nicely presented. The dry ribs were a little oily for my taste but the lemon chicken was the best I’ve had. Great spring rolls. My husband loved the egg roll and his meal for one. We really enjoyed ourselves and the bonus was we walked to our truck with other customers who were so friendly and happy to give us tips on other shops etc to visit in the area before we return to Ontario. Great experience overall....
