We stop here on our way to and from Banff. On our recent trip we stopped in on our way back. We went inside at 8:15 p.m. and they close at 9:00 p.m. . They were already cleaning up and preparing to close. The staff made us feel unwelcomed and as if we were a bother to them. the two of us both have disabilities and the way they treated us was absolutely disgusting. I went to sit down and got my friend to order us some burgers. my friend told me the manager had some attitude. I said forget it and opened up our burgers. cold and mushy burgers that were made probably well over a half hour ago. I went up to the counter and asked nicely if we could have some proper burgers. This is when the manager Jacob gave me attitude. his comments to me were condescending and I asked him politely what is with the attitude. I said I just want some fresh burgers thank you and no attitude on the side. My friend came up.Due to my disability is a bit louder. My disability is also very visibl. While Jacob was giving us attitude we just insisted that we would like some fresh burgers. Then out of the blue the staff behind the cashier said to me that they cannot serve me if I keep acting the way I am acting. I asked I asked her how I was acting and she said I was yelling. I told her it's my disability and I should not have to do this.. my disability is very visible and I get this all the time. I told her I have ankylosing spondylitis and asked her if she could spell it. Then I asked her if she knew what it was. I told the manager Jacob I do not like a comment made about me due to a physical characteristic I have no control over. He just gave me more attitude and gave me a new bag of burgers. We did not see them make the burgers, but they were just as cold and sloppy. Gave us back the same burgers? Jacob did not make any attempt to apologize for the comment that was directed toward me. They treated me as if I was just some dumb disabled person. I get this all the time so I can tell. what they don't know is that I'm a highly educated disabled person with two degrees. The fellow that was with me is a younger person than me that I have been helping. He has epilepsy and the attitude and grief we got just for getting a couple of Burgers almost caused him a seizure. What Jacob the manager doesn't realize Is that I have a professional side to me and I'm involved in the business world with my own business. He also didn't realize that I just lost my father. We did nothing to the staff and we certainly didn't make any comments toward them in regards to their physical nature. Their business was open and we were made to feel very unwelcomed. They were more concerned about closing up. We may consider filing a human rights complaint against Wendy's and the staff member. We have a year to file a complaint. I will be taking my business away not only from this wendy's, but from Red Deer completely.Your conduct toward two disabled customers was absolutely disgusting. Did you know that my family member is disabled and served our country? There are many customers with varying disabilities and their voices could...
Read moreWent thru the drive thru and it is absolutely ridiculous. Did not have everything in the bags and when we say that they make us hand the bags back like they think we are lying. They then realize we aren’t but when asked about sauce they say oh yea that’s enough which it was not enough so here I go back in to get the rest. I know this sounds like small problems. But when it happens EVERY time it gets old fast. People complain about what they make in this job industry and honest to god why would people think they should deserve more when they can’t even do there jobs properly. I get the speakers at drive thrus don’t work great but if ya had someone on it that could speak English it may also help.
Hopefully one day this can get better at...
Read moreWe visited this Wendy's in gas alley on our way to Calgary. The tables were all dirty so we asked for someone to clean one for us. One of the girls said she would come clean it but never did. I ended up using the napkins they had put in the bag to clean it. I asked for more napkins because I had just used the ones we had, and the girl who had just placed our order looked at me like I was bothering her. I went to get some Ketchup from the pump and guess what..it was EMPTY. I notified them that it was empty and they provided 3 packets for five people...smh. I asked for a few more, and if looks could kill, I would be dead. No one refilled the ketchup the whole time we were there. Poor first impression, next time, I'll go to...
