Nothing WRONG - but I just don't get the hype. "People are lined up for a reason," is kinda the gist I got, so rolled in for a cheeseburger & fries.

Cute, rustic outdoor take-out window joint with picnic tables along the inlet across the street from the Fundy shore. Nice they grill the burger, but that's about it for me!

$17 for a 2oz patty on a D'Italiano bun with a Kraft single cheese slice. They asked what I wanted on the burger & I said, "Mustard, relish, ketchup, onion & extra pickle?"

They did deliver on the pickles, which were excellent & plenty, but the condiments were all those plastic packets thrown in the paper bag for me to dress. I'll never understand that - I don't know what else to say!

Little paper ramekin of coleslaw was good.

Frozen, unseasoned krinkle fries sucked. Hot, sure - but nothing much you can do to save those babies! Frozen fries suck, especially considering making killer homemade fries is so easy!

So, for $17+ I got a burger the size of a McDonald's single that I had to dress myself & crummy frozen fries...

Not the end of the world, but I wouldn't be...

Had a wonderful lunch here.

  1. the seafood chowder was excellent. Lots of seafood and a great flavour. ($12)
  2. the clam platter was excellent and mounded with clams. I would recommend asking for 1/2 the fries. ($22) (enough to share)
  3. the seafood platter was crazy. Full, full, full of seafood. Enough for about 3 people. 2 massive pieces of fish. Lots of clams. Some scallops and shrimp. All cooked perfectly and all amazingly tasty. ($40) (enough to share) The service was great. The nice lady at the counter was friendly and helpful. The ambience of the picnic tables by the river was great. Highly recommend. We were there when it was very busy and there was still parking available. 2 seafood platters, 1 clam platter, 1 seafood chowder, 4 drinks,...

Just a heads up, my son takes me to your place for my birthday and fathers day every year. We were there in May I had a large clams they were excellent same as every other time before, but we went down this past Monday and if that had of been the first time we ate there we wouldn't be going back. I ordered a large clam and pop, my son had a small clam and onion rings, the clams were just like chewing a piece of leather. They didn't even look or taste the same. I presumed you might of purchased them from a new supplier. Just thought I better give you a heads up, we don't want to lose the best clam shack there is around. ( P.S. Still the same generous portions. ) It won't deter us from...

Proper roadside takeout with plenty of picnic tables and a lovely view over the Salmon River. Also patio seating and indoor seating when there’s inclement weather or the fog makes it a bit chilly. Varied seafood and takeout menu with stars of the menu being seafood based, of course. Lobster roll platter and fried clam platter come highly recommended, though the lobster roll needed more toasting and less mayo - flavorful, and a stack of double fried French fries and coleslaw. We make a beeline for this takeout every time we are at Fundy National park near mealtime.

Fundy Take Out in Alma, Fundy, offers a seafood lover’s paradise with their bountiful seafood platter. Every visit, I make sure to indulge in this feast, which overflows with fried clams, shrimp, battered fish, scallops, and even lobster. The quality and freshness of the seafood are consistently impressive, making each bite a delightful experience. If you find yourself in Alma, don’t miss the chance to savor this exceptional seafood platter.

Went to fundy national park over the long weekend and went to try the lobster roll. It did not disappoint us! The lobster roll had huge chunks of meat and had no celery in it which is a huge plus for me. Lightly seasoned with mayonnaise. Nice atmosphere and good customer service! The fries tasted like a store-bought bag of frozen fries so I wish it was a little more fresh but otherwise 10/10!
