Extremely disappointed with the service. We drove all the way from Moncton and arrived just before 1:30pm. The patio was about 75% full. We waited at the front of the patio but were completely ignored by 5 different staff. We eventually sat ourselves at a table that was near the server station at the back of the patio. Nobody greeted us or brought us menus. 2 servers in particular (both brunette with braided hair, one in a blue skirt with converse shoes and the other with a green shirt and black pants) looked our way multiple times but continued ignoring us. Eventually I went to the server station and requested menus from the server in the green shirt. We then waited nearly 20 minutes before someone finally came to our table. By this time most people had finished eating and the patio was maybe 20% full. Our server, Michelle, seemed to be waiting tables all over the patio. There didn't seem to be any sections, as the only other 2 tables near us had been served by the server with converse shoes, who kept walking past us without any sort of acknowledgement. After placing our order, we overhead another couple tell the server in green they had been waiting over an hour for their food, to which she replied that they had too many takeout orders and had to do those first. We ended up waiting over 30 minutes for 2 bottles of pop, a lobster roll, a bowl of chowder and quesadillas which, while mostly good, were very overpriced ($85 total for lunch). The fries were lukewarm at best. The whole operation seemed very disorganized. People seated outside on the grass were getting seating, ordered and received their food and their bill before people on the patio even had a chance to place their order. The two brunette servers mentioned before would often come out to the patio with nothing in their hands, stand there looking around, and then either screw around with something on the server station or go back into the kitchen with nothing in their hands. Multiple times new customers would approach the one in green (since she was often standing around doing nothing) asking for a table and she would say to sit wherever they want. They'd then have to ask her for menus.

The only positives were Michelle's great attitude and the quality of the lobster and the chowder. Sadly not worth the drive or...

For the last few summers the Alma Lobster Shop has been my favorite spot to get lobster when down hiking trails in Fundy National Park. Unfortunately the experience and meal quality were not as great as they have been in past summers. Both mine and my partners orders had something wrong with them, nothing crazily incorrect but it detracted from the experience. The price for our lobster dinners seemed to be higher than they had been previously, which I could understand if something had been added to the meal or the quality was improved, however instead you no longer get a cob of corn with your meal unless you choose it as your side and the lobsters that we recieved were the worst quality lobsters we have had at a restaurant. The lobsters had very soft shells, you could practically push your finger through the shell, didn't even have to use the shell crackers. To add to that the meat inside the lobster was severely lacking in quantity for the price you pay. Typically the lobster dinner is enough to satisfy me, however after finishing our food we contemplated grabbing burgers on the way home due to the sad experience we had. Hopefully this is due to just being a bad lobster season and that the quality at the Alma Lobster Shop will bounce back to what it used to be, but I don't think we'll be returning for a while, and would recommend others give it a second thought before spending their...

Just travelled East coast for 9 days from Montreal, and ate here 3 times! Our best waitress was the first time with Melissa. She just know what you need before you even say it. Thank you!!! They have a small menu, but everything tastes great!! I strongly recommend the scallop, best I have had in fried version, the texture is perfect, not chewy/elastic like. Also the chowder and lobster rolls… their chowder is really tasty and the losbter roll is really good, there is something in the sauce, it’s not the typical flavor. My daughter had the snow crab dinner twice and she loves it, the meat is sweeter, no sauce just like that. We also had the lobster dinner, which is a must when in Alma! Also fish tacos were good, and the size is generous. Kids enjoyed their fish and chip, they say it’s good!! Also, you’re right at the Alma beach front, great view while eating. It is an outdoor with coverage eating area settings. Recommended, must go if you’re in the area!!

It's a small-ish restaurant. You can only eat in the outdoor seating provided. You order in the lobster shop, where they have a gift shop and where the rack of fresh lobster sits. Then you go and sit down outside. The restaurant closes at 7:30 pm. But you can sit and eat even after 7:30 has passed. They said you can eat out there for hours if you'd like. We ordered the lobster roll combo, the fried clams dinner and the special sweet chili shrimps and scallops dinner. With the sides of potato salad, coleslaw and spicy fries that came with our meals. Two of the meal sets came with a dinner roll and some butter. Food tasted good. The portions of the food were a bit on the small side, not enough to make one person full. We shared our food between each other. Total price for everything was about $95 for 3 people. We had our first lobster roll here, and it was pretty good. Was told that they have the best lobster rolls.

We ordered a whole lobster, a Caesar salad, and some fries. The waiter was super friendly. It was my first time trying a whole lobster, and it seemed really fresh. They only serve it boiled here. Some places split the lobster for you, but I would’ve liked to crack it open more myself. Unfortunately, they didn’t give us lobster crackers (maybe we could’ve asked, but the waiter didn’t offer). Honestly, the lobster tasted like regular fish to me—I was expecting something richer and more flavorful since it was my first go. Without crackers, breaking the shell was a hassle, and I even nicked my finger. The Caesar salad was the worst I can remember, and the fries were a bit overcooked but still okay. Overall, it was an alright experience, but I wouldn’t call this place a must-visit.
