I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tipsy Tails, the seafood restaurant nestled over the fish docks on the bay of Fundy, and it was a truly remarkable experience. From start to finish, everything about this place exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, I have to commend Tara, our server, for her exceptional service. She was incredibly personable, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Her warm and friendly nature added an extra touch to our lunch stop. The fish and chips at Tipsy Tails were simply divine. The beer batter used for the fish was crispy, and practically tasted like a donut. The fish inside was fresh and flaky, perfectly complemented by the delightful crunch of the batter. I also had the pleasure of trying their mayo-style lobster roll, and it did not disappoint. The lobster seemed fresh and was lightly coated in mayo dressing with dill that added just the right amount of richness. It was a heavenly combination that left me craving for more. The battered sweet potato fries were an absolute delight. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with just a touch of sweetness. Fantastic food and drink aside, what truly set Tipsy Tails apart was its breathtaking location. The patio seating outside offered an unparalleled view of the bay of Fundy. As we dined, we were treated to the view of the bay and sight of fishing boats beached at low tide waiting for high enough waters to head out to sea, creating a picturesque backdrop for our meal. It was a feast for the senses that elevated the dining experience to new heights. They had a seemingly descent tap selection of local/regional draught beers. The Pumphouse Blueberry Ale went quite well with both the food and the scenery. I wholeheartedly recommend Tipsy Tails to anyone looking for a seafood and seaview experience. The fish and chips, the mayo-style lobster roll, and battered sweet potato fries weren’t the only menu items that looked good coming out of the kitchen. If it’s nice enough to eat outside, the patio seating and breathtaking view will add an extra layer of magic to your visit. If you find yourself passing through Alma, Tipsy Tails will leave you with lasting memories and a desire to stay!

During my recent visit to Alma, New Brunswick, I had the pleasure of dining at Tipsy Tails, a charming seaside restaurant that offers an exceptional dining experience. One of the highlights of this spot is undoubtedly the marina view from the patio. As you sit outside, you can enjoy the picturesque sight of boats snuggled up in the the marina, framed by the stunning natural beauty of the Bay of Fundy. It's the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal. The service at Tipsy Tails is another standout feature. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and engaging. Spencer’s warm hospitality makes one feel right at home and adds personal touch to the dining experience. Spencer was attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations and ensuring that I had everything we needed. And of course, I can't forget to mention the lobster roll. Tipsy Tails' lobster roll is simply delicious. Packed with fresh, succulent lobster meat, it’s a true taste of the Maritimes. The roll adds a delightful crunch that compliments the tender lobster. It's a must-try dish that showcases the best of Tipsy Tails. Tipsy Tails combines great views, top-notch service, and mouthwatering food to create a dining experience that's hard to beat. Whether you're a local or just passing through, it's definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful patio with plenty of flowers, a great view of the lobstering boats, fun bouys hanging from the ceiling and string lights. We biked around to all the restaurants and this was among the best. The one at the opposite end of town (Almas Lobster) would be best on a cold windy day since they have plenty of enclosed patio seating. The food was excellent! The lemongrass scallops were especially unique, tender, and well- balanced! Don't miss them. Since the Bay of Fundy is world-renowned for their lobster we went with the purist approach and ordered the lobster dinner. It was delicious, but I'm no connoisseur, so I can't really say if I'd call it 'world class'. 🤷‍♀️ The cheddar biscuit it came with was awesome. The seasonal salad was good, but I regret not ordering the boojee fries instead. I don't like cole slaw but theirs was actually decent even for me. They had some fun house specials that probably would have also been delicious. I bet they get bored with catering to the same basic tourist requests all the time. The local beers we had were good, especially the creamsicle. The purple people eater (purple gin and tonic w/elderberry) is beautiful and instagram-worthy. Our server Jeremy was great, very helpful and knowledgeable. Next time I'll follow his suggestion for the boujee fries.

I’ve been here several times but it only takes one bad experience to make me never want to go back. Why was everyone so rude here? Was it an off night? First we were so rushed, I went to the washroom after our long drive out and wasn’t even in my seat before the server was asking what I wanted to drink. 1 of our guests wasn’t even in the restaurant yet and we’re being asked if we’re ready to order. I was served half a glass of Diet Pepsi with no ice. Seriously, half a glass!! Wasn’t offered a refill and it cost $4. My burger was burnt to a crisp, completely black on the bottom. It was crunchy and dry, I had to douse it in ketchup. The fries were soooooo salty but I was so hungry, I ate it. 1 napkin was provided, I had to go wash my hands because everything was so greasy and salty and wasn’t offered any additional napkins. My phone stuck to the table every time I tried to pick it up, it was sticky. We were battling house flies the whole time we ate and a fruit fly at one point. Not to mention, someone dropped a clear bag of garbage off in the middle of the dining room, right beside our table while we were eating. My mom asked for soy sauce for her rice bowl. The server recommended some sort of oil and brought that to the table, again, half a little cup full. Flavourless, she really just wanted some soy sauce, no salt or pepper on the table for her to add to her meal. The server grabbed my plate as I was eating my last bite of food, I wiped my mouth with my grease and ketchup soaked napkin and placed it on my plate that was already in her hands. What’s with the rush? Can I finish swallowing my food please? I asked for a glass of water because of the amount of salt I just consumed, and she slammed it down on the table, I said thank you and she just walked away saying nothing. Brought the bill immediately and didn’t even ask us how we wanted it split, never asked if we wanted more drinks or dessert. We were scrambling to figure out who owed what because here she comes with the debit machine. We were told drinks would be served at the bar only from now on and had to get them ourselves. 2 hours after being there, after paying for our food, and now getting our own drinks, we’re watching the guy preform music and someone comes over to ask if we paid our cover charge. What? What cover charge? No one mentioned a cover charge. We were all confused. I went to the bar to pay $10 for every person at the table and asked for 2 beers. She said “I’m not the bar tender” and passed me the debit machine for the cover charge only. But then I see her serving drinks to other customers after me. So my brother got the drinks from the actual bartender. Lady… I do not know your position at this restaurant, but you’ve been standing behind the bar all night. On our way out the door at the end of the night we seen a hand written sign on the window that said “cover charge $10”. It was not there when we showed up for supper. Never in my life have I been asked to pay a cover charge 2 hours after being somewhere, when we’ve finished eating, paid our bill and now had to go get our own drinks. We were dumbfounded. I don’t know what our servers’s problem was, but she was clearly in a bad mood. The kitchen was obviously rushing so they could close down and kitchen staff could drink for the live show, we seen many staff sitting and drinking all night. And the cover charge lady, nothing but attitude. Not to mention 2 men at our table were drinking highballs, and they were $17 each. 2 of our friends left early because of the price gouging. The live music was great. Hats off to the performer. Can’t wait to see him...

If you like horrible food and service this is the place for you. Our server was very very rude and snappy. Every time we asked a question she gave very snappy answers. We said 3 times some of us wanted separate Bill's. She snapped about that after she put it all on 1 bill. She was very vocal and loud when she snipped her answers. We wanted to leave right after we sat down but we didnt want too be rude. The food was awful considering the price of items. The haddock was ok. The seasonal salad was the only highlight of the meal.. I would not recommend this restaurant too any one. When people visit from out of town or other provinces or countries this does not look good for the town of Alma. Being from NB myself travelling with family from other places, it reflects not only on your town but also the people of our province as a whole. Good luck with your business. If I'm asked too recommend a place to eat in Alma it definitely wont be your restaurant. It was a very bad end too what was a wonderful day. 0 stars was not an option. From a fellow restaurant server. Too the person that replied. Grey hat, blonde hair. Glasses. Also was unprofessional by grabbing her tip while some of us still at the table. She just seems to be concerned in who was paying. When she first came over I asked about gluten free. She snapped I'll get too that who's paying. That's when I wanted too leave. Very rude response and it got worse from there. We all had a hard time not saying something. We seemed too be an inconvenience too her and her day. I understand it's busy and short staff I've been there. That's no excuse for that behavior. Good luck sir. Thank you for...
