Momoville — Restaurant in Area B (Shawnigan Lake)

We tried this place yesterday because some of our friend raved about the food here and they were absolutely right!! We tried the vegetarian steamed momos and the nepali chowmein noodles. We liked both the dishes but the noodles were next level delicious! I wasn’t feeling like I had enough of those :) They also had some pickles, sauce and chilli oil for purchasing. I bought a bottle of lavender lime pickle and it’s gooood!!

The service was quick and the owners were really nice to talk to! Overall, we loved it.. it’s a perfect spot for a chilly, rainy day! If you are driving from Victoria, it’s a gorgeous drive :)

Oh also, the hot tea and mango lassi were refreshing! They make it (as all other items) in house as well :)

Chose to do takeout. My family ordered the Momoville Curry Special, the Butter Chicken and the Chow Mein. Mine was the Momoville Curry Special and it was incredibly flavorful. Really felt the passion behind the cooking. Good portion of rice that complimented the curry. There was some heat but not enough to overwhelm the complex flavors of the dish. It was so delicious, it moved me and I haven't been moved by a dish in awhile so I had to try the other dishes ordered and they were all so good! It felt like a culinary journey in the Himalayas. Looking forward to trying more! Each meal is priced in a way that I can try several without breaking the bank which I appreciate and will keep me coming back...
