My husband and I used to go here for ice cream in 2017, back when we lived in Shawnigan briefly. Ice cream was always fantastic, and the flavors were amazing! Tonight we were in town visiting a friend and wanted to stop by for the yummy burgers we remembered having over a year ago. It was super busy (Saturday night on a long weekend, so it makes sense) and the young women working the counter were running around, putting orders together, answering phones, etc. They apologized for the wait multiple times (which was actually a reasonable wait time considering the quality of the food and being so busy), and even offered us a free extra drink for being so patient. Told them no need! The wait wasn't bothersome and it's worth it anyway to get the quality of food and service they provide. Truly delicious burgers! Worst ever. Ordered my food (Cucumber and Yam rolls and a Cream Slush) at 4:37pm. I wait around, for the food as I was told it would be about 30 minutes. At 5:32pm, I call back: "Hey I was told it would be 30 minutes?" "We are busy hangs up" Thought, screw this, worst customer service I have ever seen. Get a call, 7:38pm: "We are leaving with your food now". They arrive and deliver my food, Forgot half my order. No sorries or anything. Hands down the worst customer service I have ever gotten in my life. Do not go here please. Amazing local gem.
It's a fast food fry shack that serves large portions at a low cost. Eaten here 50ish times over 10 years.
Quality of the sushi has wavered during peak summer hours, but the quantity never has. Everything other than sushi has been consistent.
Sushi is heavy on the rice, but still tastes delicious. Fish is always fresh, had questionable rice once. Tuna, Salmon and Yam rolls are standouts.
Teriyaki and bibimbop bowls both taste great, and they make their own sauce. Burgers are good for the price, fries are amazing.
