Montra Thai Eatery — Restaurant in Area B (Shawnigan Lake)

Take-out service was very quick and friendly, but like many of the reviewers have said, the food itself is bland. We had two orders of the Poh Pia rolls, but the glass noodles were under-cooked and hard to swallow. Quite greasy as well. Three orders of Pad Thai - spicy chicken, medium chicken, and a mild prawn. The spicy chicken was kicked up with red pepper flakes, so there was a bit of heat but definitely not a Thai flavour. The other two dishes were the same - lacking the zing you expect from a Thai meal. Apparently the menu has been Canadian-ized, so if you're looking for a mild meal in a very nice atmosphere, this might be for you. If you're a fan of good Thai food, you might want to go...

Had a lovely lunch with a friend. We shared an appie, Tod Mun Khaopod (corn cakes), Tom Kha Soup (veggies in a coconut broth) and a pot of Jasmine tea. Although it was busy, service was excellent and food was so fresh and tasty. Comfy atmosphere and nice decor. Looking forward to really experiencing this fabulous new eatery in its entirety! Update: been quite a few more times since first post when they opened. I would have to say the food and service is still excellent. I really like the fact that they offer Vegan/Gluten-free options! We are dining again...

Really enjoyed eating the food here and I still do enjoy the food, it’s actually really tasty. But every time I’ve tried to order ever since the first time I ordered , it’s been seemingly impossibly. Even if I call a half hour before close time they either refuse to make the order or don’t answer the phone. I really hope they consider changing their hours back to normal so I can once enjoy the food at regular...
