I first heard of Artsy Baker (located in Aurora) from my good friend, Jennifer @FitYourStyle and she ordered a box of treats from Artsy Baker for our mutual friend at a rehab centre, as he fell and broke his back.
I saw it first hand how excellent the food delivery service was and I luv the lovely branding and packaging.
Since I was invited to a soft opening of a new restaurant called "Feedery" in Aurora, I decided to google to see where Artsy Baker is located in Aurora. It turns out that Artsy Baker is only a 4 minute drive from Feedery, so I decided to make a trip to buy some goodies as I have been craving for gourmet donuts lately.
Once I walked in, a friendly staff greeted me and asked me what I would like to order. He showed me a good list of variety of gourmet donuts options. I asked for his recommendations and he told me about the "Chocolate Fudge Donut" and "Bruno Marz", etc. I also ordered a "Chocolate Mint" and "Free Loader" which is a caramel one.
Although $4 a donut is more pricey than other places, you pay what you pay for. It's high quality flavours, unique ingredients and it's a good generous size thus leading to good value. I mean, the chocolate fudge donut really have a big chunk of fudge cake on top of it. The mint has a good green mint icing on top of the donut. You also see Mars bars pieces on the donut. And the nice packaging and branding, I luv the whole thing!
Aurora and nearby communities are lucky to have such a gourmet donut around and they didn't need to drive to downtown (where most gourmet donuts are located) to get some. I heard the cakes and cupcakes are tasty as well and it's perfect for special occasions. I would like to try them in the near future. You can also try their food delivery service as I think it's a great gift idea for you to order online and have them deliver to your friends and families.
I can't wait to visit Artsy Baker the next time I am in Aurora and try more...
Read moreI don’t write reviews, but one here is warranted. As a mother of two boys with a severe dairy allergy, my options for bakeries are limited. To be short, I ordered a cake for my son’s bday that cost $325 and 10 vegan donuts that was around $50+. The cake and donuts did not taste great at all and I was very disappointed. Antonella’s staff packed in addition to that in my box that I had not paid for 12 dairy cookies. I called to inquire after I left the bakery and it was confirmed the cookies had dairy. My son who is 3 wanted to eat these cookies really badly, but could not. Antonella called me the next morning about 10+ times, left me a voicemail and sent a text that the cookies “I took” was for another kids bday and had to be picked up at once from my home. Now this is really sickening. I offered to pay for these cookies that I already had in my possession over night and was told no that the customer and her kid were crying at her store. I don’t know why a customer would ever want a product that left the store and went to a strangers house nor do I understand what the owner would accept products back into her store that was at my house overnight. This was a terrible experience and everyone needs to know this. A rule of thumb from any bakery or restaurant is that once food items are packed you should not have that item returned. Please please beware of this bakery, as I feel that this has happened before. I will not order from here again, I will spread the word to as many people as I can because I don’t ever want this to...
Read moreMy family has been using Artsy Baker for as long as I could remember. From birthday cakes, to donuts, and many more, Artsy Baker has always been apart of my families sweets table. Therefore, it was only fitting that once I was looking for a wedding cake, my wife and I came into Artsy Bake again to have them apart of our special day. We met with the owner (Antonella) and as always, we knew we were in good hands. Being them groom I didn’t get much say in the design of the cake, however, I was aloud to pick the flavour. And what better flavour for any cake - no matter the occasion - than funfetty! The cake came out so beautiful and the taste was just fantastic. Many people complemented the cake even when we brought some home, more friends and family tried again, and they just loved it. As many may say, you should definitely freeze a piece or tear of your wedding cake for your one year anniversary and eat it to celebrate, and I can’t wait for a year to eat it again! Along with the cake, we also got a donut wall for our late night station which Artsy Baker was able to provide and supply. The wass was so aesthetically pleasing and fit perfectly into our elegant wedding decorations. The guest truly admired the wall and loved the taste and look of the donuts Artsy Baker created for us. To Antonella and the entire team and staff at Artsy Baker, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of our special day and satisfying everybody sweet tooth during our wedding. With thanks and love the...
