Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Aurora

I would say avoid this place if you can. We ordered a 'custom' cake from them. See the pictures and you tell me if it's worth the 65 bucks I spent. The cake melted despite being in the freezer, we even tried to put it on snow outside to try and save it. I think it was so thin that it just couldn't hold up.

Called the store to voice our displeasure, the girl who answered said we should get a refund and forwarded to the manager/owners. A gentleman called and asked for pictures, he said he would talk to his wife and see what they could do. He apologized for the terrible cake when he saw the pictures as well.

The wife called and again apologized for the terrible cake. She then said she could give me free ice cream. Are you kidding? The last thing we want is free ice cream. She never mentioned a refund, but she did offer another cake... Which is pointless as well since we already had the birthday party and already bought another cake from super store.

I think most disappointing is all the runaround just to offer me free ice cream. I gotta say, I was pretty insulted by that offer. I would have been happy with a partial refund, although a full refund would have been more appropriate considering it was inedible and the fact that I had to leave during the middle of my son's birthday party to find a cake so he can blow...

We ordered a cake for my son's birthday. 3 days before the party, my wife had to call and cancel the order as the party place told us that there is no outside cake is allowed. Baskin Robins shop owner/manager said they can not cancel as they already made the cake. My wife was shocked and asked don't they make it fresh at the day of party. Then he changed his word and said just the base is now ready and they can not refund the $30 deposit. My wife went to the store and asked to take the base as it is ready. As you may guess, there was no base, he was just trying to avoid refunding the $30 deposit. Then he had to refunded the $30. I cannot believe such people survive in business. Ordered an ice cream cake for my daughter's birthday. The worker there drops the cake after writing "Happy birthday" on the cake. He tried to save it from falling by sandwiching it between his leg and the counter. They had no more cookies and cream ice cream cakes to replace it with. He proceeds to tell me "I can fix it, it's not that bad. It won't be perfect but I can give you 10% off". His words not mine. Absolutely ridiculous! He shouldn't be "fixing" that for anyone. Absolutely disgusted that he even offered that as an option. Wouldn't offer any other solution or compensation for next visit. Ended up driving down to the Richmond hill location for a new one.
