Captain George's Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Aurora

Visiting Port Perry today, decided to stop in, for old times sake, it had been awhile since we ate here, wish we hadn't. Staff were misleading. We opted to sit outdoors. We were told we could, but food would be served on paper plates and plastic cutlery and that they would serve us the food outdoors. So we proceeded to go outside and sit on the picnic table, which was not clean, should have been the 1st clue to leave. Then after a few minutes staff came out and told us we had to go in and order our food. So we did. Then we were told food was ready, my husband had to go in a pick it up, it was not brought to us. Everything came in take out containers, in paper bags, with 2 paper plates and cutlery, so we basically had to serve ourselves. They should advise customers that if you eat outside, what you will get is take-out. If I wanted take out I wouldn't have gone to a sit down restaurant. Pricey for the portion sizes, and the quality of food was not great at all. In conclusion, if your looking for good food and good service, go elsewhere. There's a few other options in this...

Me and my wife is from out of town. I brought my family here one time to Captain George we went there today we ordered a Caesar salad to share. Normally Caesar salad comes with Romain, lettuce, soup times, and bacon bits and mozzarella cheese and Polynesian cheese. They only served the cheese shredded up And lettuce and Caesar salad I don’t know what kind of dressing they used but it didn’t taste like it they want like $10 me and my wife had paid for it and I had to carbs and we said after we had to Caesar salad we did not want the rest of our meal so we left and went to a nice restaurant down the road on the Wellington Street the lady at Captain Georges that was very rude to me and my wife saying she did not care if we ordered it the guy who was there looks like he was going to cry Because he knew me and my wife was a very good spender and came all the way from out of town to come here never again stay away from this place they even have mice and cockroaches running around...

I had the pleasure of dining at this fish and chips restaurant and had an unforgettable experience. The food was amazing... the fish was cooked perfectly and had the perfect flavour, and the chips were extra crispy and the portion sizes were very generous. The service was also excellent, they were friendly and accommodating to our needs; not only was the food and service top-notch, but the owners were so incredibly kind and welcoming. They went out of their way to make our experience special, they suggested some great dishes and were so helpful and accommodating. It was a pleasure to meet the owners and chat with them.
