I’ve been frequenting this restaurant for years but have decided I will no longer give them my business. As a long time customer I’ve seen countless examples of the employee, whom I believe is the owner, show complete disregard for his patrons and never showing any desire to offer any semblance of customer service. I’d excuse this behaviour and give him the benefit of the doubt excusing his actions or comments as being stressed or overwhelmed but that’s not the case. This man is bitter and hate filled; it baffles me how he has the audacity to treat people in this manner while operating a business that requires customers to support it. Over time I’ve heard many stories from family and friends of his egregious behaviour, I’ve seen him yell and swear at teenagers, I’ve seen him yell and argue with elderly patrons & of course every age group in between and its a common theme for this to be the extent of his verbal communication “skills”. I hadn’t really had this issue too often until recently. It’s like they’ve given up and My family and I can no longer support this business. Recently their own website was down so I called the restaurant and placed my order then at the end I asked how much it costed for this one menu item, to which the owner told me to “google the menu and call back” and he hung up on me. I googled the menu again but the site was down I couldnt find the price so I called back and politely told him that I tried googling it but the website is down, in response to this he said “I don’t have time for this” as if reciting a price I’m going to pay him is too much for him to do and hung up on me again. I despised this interaction and I stayed away from the restaurant for the majority of COVID-19. Until recently. I called in today for two gyros. The man took my order and I came to pick it up 20 minutes later. Not only was my order not ready when I got there but he was only making me one gyro despite having ordered two. I informed him of this mistake and instead of making more meat for a second gyro he took half the meat off my initial gyro and slapped it down on the second. What kind of blatant disrespect are you displaying for your customers here? (Jan 5) When I had initially called to place an order for a Pick Up, I felt extremely rushed as the guy was so quick to take my order and hang up. He didn't even take my name or number. I thought to myself that it was weird, but continued to wait the allocated time he told me before driving over to pick up my meal. As I was pulling up I noticed a man leaving the store. I walked into the store letting the man working that I was here for the pick up order that I had phoned in. He looked at me puzzled and then proceeded to tell me that he actually just gave my food to the guy who just left... Confused as I was, I proceeded to remind him of the reasons on why taking the proper precautions and getting someone's name/phone number while doing a take out order is necessary if you want ensure happy customers. He had the guts to tell me that he doesn't care about proper customer service and business practice, and either I re order the food that I wanted or to get out!!!??? I was shocked. Read moreI had takeout from this restaurant numerous times and always had large orders and I tip well. I always joked around and spoke with the owner and never had a problem here. The last few times i found hair in my food so i got turned off and stopped going. It wasn't just in my food it was also in my guests' . This happened on 3 separate occasions: once in my rice , once in my girlfriend's poutine and the last time in my salad. The hairs were black and short which none of us have.. Clearly was turned off!!! I finally told the owner in a friendly way what my concerns were. He argued with me saying it was impossible. Told me that if i wasn't comfortable not to come back. It was his demeanor, the way he reacted and mistreated me when i told him, that was shocking and disgusting. I wasn't looking for a freebie but suggested they wear hair nets and try to be a little more careful since they work with food.
