Edited Feb 22/2025: We decided to get takeaway, comfortable in our knowledge that food and service was great at Parya. Totally disappointed. I had provided such a great review earlier that I felt obligated to revise - in case you decided to try and wondered what I was thinking when I said the food was excellent. First - Change in staff. Meliha is gone. Replacement is kind and polite. Perhaps the ownership has changed hands. Food: A disaster! Koobidehs were dry and much smaller than they used to be. No longer juicy and tender. Joojeh (chicken) was not cut into flat slices but were in round chunks. Marinated well but not evenly cooked due to shape and size. Despite that, it was passable. Barg was a disaster. To overcome the low quality of meat they had used chemical meat tenderizer leaving the meat dry and tasting like overcooked liver. No No No - not at all what a barg is supposed to be. Rice tray: rice dumped in it and a spoon of saffron rice on top. It was about 60% in quantity of what it used to be. No Tahedeeg! No sprinkling of a few zereshk to make it look pretty. We had been there in December 2024 and the rice was beautifully decorated.
The price is the same as it was 3 months ago but now no salad and no drink with it. I was politely told that they don't give salad and drinks anymore. I knew the older gentleman who did the cooking. He took pride in his work and was genuinely pleased when we told him that his kabab's were the best! Not the same hands that did the cooking this time. Meliha's replacement Mandana khanum was very polite - apart from that our food and experience was a disaster! I wish I could have given a better review. I feel compelled to share my most recent experience as I know many of you follow me. Before you go there based on my earlier reviews, please read the update. I am sad at losing one of my favourite places for kabab. To the owners - please bring back the old quality and taste and win our hearts back.
Old Review from mid 2024: I ordered food for 8 people from here for a gathering at our house. Mallieh khanum took the order. I asked her if they did their kebabs on charcoal she said no but asked if I would like them to be done on Charcoal. Of course, I said yes. I went to pick up a few days later and I was 30 minutes early. The lady (not Mallieh khanum) had my food ready. Kebabs packed separately, rice in its own tray and Salad in tis tray - nicely decorated. Tomatoes and a bonus of fried aubergine were also packed separately. Honestly all the jujeh kebabs were well seasoned and were saffron rich! The koobidehs were large, much larger than what you get normally and they were done to perfection on charcoal. Juicy, spongy, tasty - just like Nayeb's kebabs in Tehran. The bargh was melt in your mouth tender. The lady was so polite and helpful and helped me carry the trays out to the car. All the guest commented on how good the food was. I had other dishes like Baghali polo and Tachin that I did not order from here but the kebabs were the star of the evening. The price for 8 people was very reasonable at $150 for 10 very large koobidehs, 2XBargh, 3Xchicken jujeh thighs, a large tray of rice for 8 servings and a medium tray of salad plus the tomatoes and the awesome fried aubergine! I was so impressed and happy that I went the next day to personally thank the staff and give the lady $20 padash. Guess what, I am going there again to order food for my home and friends. Thank You Khanum Mallieh and the lady who...
Read moreâ 1 out of 5 â Poor management and disorganized service
I used to enjoy ordering from parya , but lately the management seems to have changed, and unfortunately, things have become chaotic.
For one order, I had to call four times just to confirm the details, and even then, they got it wrong. I had placed and paid for the order the day before, but when I called the next day, they didnât even know what my order was. It felt like nobody was communicating with each other.
After canceling that order, I decided to give them another chance and placed a new order for eight courses with eight side dishes. When my sister went to pick it up, they had the side dishes wrong again, so she had to go back to fix it.
At this point, I canât even comment on the food quality or quantity because the service experience was so frustrating. Iâd recommend waiting until they get their management and organization sorted out before ordering from them again.
There are lots of iranian restaurants in the area ,like Heeva , Reyhoon and etc give them a try you won't be...

I used to work here when i was at high school as a dishwasher. The amount of dirt and mess in the kitchen was awful. I remeber once i dropped a bbqed tomato on the kitchen floor from the screw. As soon as i came to put that in the garbage can, the owner Fereydon started yeling at me and saying that âwhat the hell are you doing, put it back on the tray, we give it to the customerâ i was shocked that day. Beside that, he used to warm up the foods like qorme and qeyme in one time use plastic bowl on the microwave and he would tell me to wash the plastic bowl again to use it again.
