Having been to the Thornhill location a couple of months ago, and having a good experience there, we decided to try out the Aurora location this time. We weren't shown a table so we just picked one and sat down. Again we were ignored for a while and only after asking a server that was cleaning up the table next to us were we told to place our order at the front. So I placed my order for a small pizza and pasta. Payment was also to be made in advance. We waited maybe 15 minutes until our dishes were brought to our table. The pizza was very small and was cut in half, so we had half a pizza that was cut into 4 pieces, where the other half of my pizza went I have no idea. It tasted good, but the whole (half) pizza was maybe 15 by 15 cm big. I know I ordered a small pizza, but this is not what I expected, also after my experience at the other location where I ordered the same small pizza but received a bigger size than this. The pasta was unfortunately undercooked so I returned it to the kitchen. The woman (manager?) didn't apologize and after checking with the kitchen told me I had to wait another 15 minutes if I wanted a new pasta. Our new pasta was brought to the table within the advised time, but the new pasta was only marginally better and still undercooked. We were hungry so we just let it slide and ate some of it, and left some of it behind when we left, which was shortly afterwards. I dont know whats up with this location, but they need to step up their game. I for one will not be visiting this place for a long time...
Read moreCafeteria quality food and service. Our experience started with a phone order which was unexcusably rude. They were out of the pizza we wanted which wasn’t the end of the world. Arrived at the store and the order was ready. A grumpy looking guy standing at the counter who I said “hi there! “ he gave me a dirty look and turned around. No response. A lady comes out of the back who was a mix of an attempt to be pleasant and dismissive. We ordered the ragu, the pommodoro and the carbonara pastas. All the pasta was consistently very poor. The pasta noodles themselves tasted like they had been boiled days before and left in the fridge. Horrible mushy texture. The ragu had a ‘gone bad’ taste to it. I don’t know how else to put it. The carbonara greatly lacked any garlic or bacon flavour. Most bland carbonara we have had. The owners of this place should go to nonnas oven in Richmond hill to learn how to make a pasta. A college student could make better. Will not be back after spending $50 for...
Read moreWe were looking forward to enjoying some authentic, cooked from scratch Mediterranean food. We ordered salads with protein on the side. We were served our salads and waited a considerable amount of time for the accompanying protein. When we inquired, the owner / manager of the place barely stopped long enough at our table for us to ask about the protein. He assured us he would get it for us - he came back with salad dressing and left so fast we couldn't ask for the protein portion of our meal. It is an open kitchen setting and I overheard one of the chef's / cook's ask about the protein (chorizo sausage) and I heard the manager / owner say never mind. A third time the protein was asked for but nothing materialized. Wow what incredibly awful service and attentiveness to your business - inexcusable. BTW we were almost the only people in...
