This morning, I was craving the flavors of my hometown, so I came to your restaurant for rice rolls. Unfortunately, while my husband was eating, he found a transparent triangular piece of plastic inside his rice roll—it looked like it came from a takeaway container. He was shocked and couldn’t even imagine what could have happened if he had accidentally swallowed it.
I immediately informed the waitress that we had found plastic in the food. She and the chef came over to take a look, but neither of them said a word. By that point, my husband had completely lost his appetite.
When it came time to pay, I noticed that only $2 had been deducted from the bill. I had assumed that in such a situation, the dish with the issue would be fully comped. However, the restaurant explained that because my husband had already eaten half of it, they could only offer a $2 discount. I find this response unreasonable. Am I expected to inspect every dish for foreign objects before eating?
Although I ended up only paying for one rice roll, I still felt uncomfortable and upset. I’ve always believed your rice rolls are the most authentic in Toronto, but unfortunately, the quality of service seems to have declined.

Read moreOur family visited this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. The place is small, but bright. Orders are to be placed through a QR code online, which I didn’t like because it takes longer to get the order in and I was very hungry that day. We ordered 9 items, not all of the items came out at the same time. I understand if there is a slight delay but when half of the family is almost finished their meal and the other half didn’t get served yet is unacceptable to me. There was no service, not once did one of the 3 ladies that worked there asked if we needed anything, checked on our table or followed up on our orders until we waived or call them over. With the lack of service, I believe the restaurant should not automate a tip feature on their card machine with a suggested minimum tip of 10% After consuming their food, the whole family felt unwell. We all felt bloated, lethargic, and very very thirsty (monosodium glutamate is most likely the culprit). Not a fan of...

They were busy.. but doesn't mean they should drop the service level.. we were group of 5 (2 kids 8&7) and they told us to sit at a 4 ppl table. Then we asked for a menu as it would be easier for us to all look and mark down what everyone wants, they told us do the scan and not giving me a menu till I repeat my request second time.
original review --first visit
Quick service, I would suggest to ask for soy sauce on the side as you can see they put alot. To me it is a bit too much as it cover all other tastes.
Congee is good.. at least it didn't become watery and deform after getting cold..
I am glad that they opened up in Aurora. Lunch time was full house and wait could...
