Subway — Restaurant in Barrie

I have been a regular customer at this restaurant for around 5 years and it's one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. I was really furious to see one of the reviews talk about how "Dirty place; dirty approach; the staff handles all kinds of meat with the same plastic gloves". I respectfully disagree with this statement because I am a strict vegetarian and I told that to the employee and he handled my sub in a careful manner by avoiding meat and I was truly impressed by this and asked how they handleded the food with such care. They replied with "We are all strict vegetarian as well so we understand your situation". Even during busy hours if you tell them that your vegetarian they will handle your food with extra care. This restaurant is always clean no matter the time or day, during covid times this restaurant followed and mandated protocols that ensured the safety of both customers and employees. Subway is not a hard place to find in Barrie since we have so many of them, however this one is the BEST out of any I’ve been to - and I’ve lived in Barrier for over 15 years.

It may look like an easy job to prepare all the food, but they take the time to make things right. I typically order salads; which I know is likely not a super popular item since they specialize in their subs. BUT they take the time to still chop up all my veggies and never shy away from the toppings when you ask.

Out of all locations I have been to- this one is hands down, the cleanest and best Subway in Barrie.

Not to mention, the staff is also very friendly & welcoming- which isn’t a lot to ask for in the customer service industry, but it’s hard to find sometimes at “fast food” chains...

I go there on on a weekly basis since that location is beside my work, their portions are awful, they make me literally feel that I'm begging for food, first when they add anything through a scoop, they keep shaking the food off the scoop to lessen the qty. they put!! veggies station is more sad, they put the bare minimum, you have to keep saying add more veggies please so that the put a reasonable qty. And today he told me i already put extra veggies then giving me a half empty (salad bowl) !!!! For the same price of a medium pizza that 2 people can share, you only get a footlong sub but with an empty interior literally :( terrible...
