The product is delicious and excellent and this is why we went a third time. The first time was a nice young lady behind the counter very smiley and friendly and welcoming she made an effort to speak French as my mother in law only speak French and Arabic. The second and third time there was a Lebanese older lady behind the counter and she was really bothered when my mother in law was asking prices since it wasn’t indicated. My mother in law felt very unwelcome but when there is white people coming in she welcomes them with a smile but when my Arab mother in law was there she couldn’t even smile at her. She was also frustrated when she was asking for prices (the prices aren’t indicated) the lady spoke Arab but didn’t do any effort to speak Arabic to my mother in law. The Manakeshs here are one of the best in the city; they are either pre prepared or baked to order, in either case they are always tasty and fresh, not stale. As for the shawarma sandwiches, they are alright; nothing fancy as I had better shawarma before from the same place for a family feast. I come to realize that it’s either a hit or miss which is acceptable. The place went through many changes, decoration wise, over the past few years when I used to visit it on/off switching from a grocery store to a cafe then to a mix of both with a shawarma stand. Well I dont write many reviews but this place is just horrible, where do I start. Customer service is completely trash, the place is so unorganized. I was waiting for 15 mins to order a shawarma. The guy behind the counter no matter how close I got to the counter he was just avoiding eye contact so I dont order. The new owners are are bad at management, the owner was there flirting with these ladies for the whole time I was there and ignored the rest of us standing there. Look out for mold in the bread!
