Date of visit: Saturday, March 2nd, 2024. On a Daytrip to Huron County, we visited the lovely town of Bayfield, ON. This is a great soot to spend an afternoon - do some shopping at quaint stores, visit a lovely bakery, check out home decor stores, enjoy the Pioneer park overlooking the gorgeous Lake Huron, and more. We decided to stay and have dinner at one of the local restaurants as well. We visited the Bayfield Brewing Company for a local brew and some good food. It is a cute little restaurant with a ‘life at the lake’ vibes. Very cozy and comfortable. We ordered a couple of their beers - the Witbier - with orange and coriander, as well as the Hazy Sunset. - both light and refreshing. Unfortunately, the restaurant was out of a few items - and had to make some substitutions. Minor issues - that weren’t that bad. We ordered the Thai Chicken Wonton Nachos - this had 2 substitutions - Nacho chips instead of wontons and fried chicken. But the nachos were still very tasty. We ordered the Meatloaf sandwich with fries and the Shrimp po boy with fries. Both were served in unexpected ways - the meatloaf was open faced , and the po boy on a brioche bun instead of a roll.
But both were very tasty. Our server was very friendly and pleasant.
The food was tasty - the beer was cold and refreshing, the atmosphere was cozy and casual - although there was a large group of a bridal party - who were on a beer tour - and thus drunk and loud.
Overall - this was a good experience - and we would definitely come back in a future visit to Bayfield.

We had a very good meal at Bayfield Brewing Co! We went there just after 5 on a Thursday evening and the place was nearly empty, so this may be for you if you prefer to avoid the louder places. We had the Smash Burger and Greek salad with chicken. Both were satisfactory. The service was good, though our server thought to mention she was normally the kitchen manager and filling in. The beer I was most interested in trying was not available, something I wasn’t told until I tried to order it. We were seated outside on the back porch and some things (admittedly most people wouldn’t notice) showed some laziness on the part of ownership. Cobwebs everywhere, a broken lantern, chairs with rusted arms and still with a plastic “price tag” clip. This was our first visit to Bayfield, which we highly recommend. Would I go back to Bayfield Brewing Co - I think there are other interesting looking places I’d try first before a repeat visit.

The best stop we made in Bayfield! Went on a Monday night for dinner. The restaurant itself is a bit stuffy, but the BACK patio is perfect. Shaded, quiet, comfy chairs, no loud music. Drinks, we got the Beer Flight. The server was super helpful in selecting which options (I’m a non-beer drinker). Loved the Blonde Lime the best! Food, the table ordered Calamari, Smash Burger and Tacos. Unfortunately they were out of perch, but no complaints on the Beef Tacos! Smash burger was fabulous (huge portion for me!), and the fries were delicious! The calamari was also perfect! Service was great! Food came at a good pace, love the server (kind, and courteous).

I had the pleasure of visiting a hidden gem in Bayfield, Ontario, Canada - a craft brewery that exceeded all my expectations. This brewery, whose name I will cherish, delights both locals and visitors alike with its remarkable brews and inviting atmosphere.

From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the charm of the taproom. The rustic yet modern decor creates a cozy ambiance that makes you want to stay and savor every moment. The friendly staff immediately made me feel like a part of the craft beer community, ready to guide me through their impressive selection.

The beer selection at this Bayfield brewery is a true testament to their dedication to the craft. What the heck has happened to this place. We have eaten here many times before and it has always been great! Came in today around 2:30 PM. There was absolutely no one in the restaurant and maybe eight people outside. We were advised by the girl at the front then it would be 15 minutes before we got service, she then went to check with another girl and then she came back and said no it’s OK you will get service right away. She sat us at the table, and Yep, it was a good 15 minutes before anyone came to get our drink order. In the meantime, all we heard was the staff moaning and groaning about how they were understaffed today, very loudly complaining. Horribly unprofessional. Like grow up!! Oh and another thing, what’s up with the girl who is waiting on the tables in slippers? Lazyily sliding her feet as she walked. Pretty sure that’s a health and safety issue. People were coming into the restaurant to get seated and the staff gave every excuse in the book not to have people come in. The restaurant was EMPTY!! I believe a party of six came in and they offered them, no joke, word by word “we have a picnic table out back in full sun if you would like that”. Again, the restaurant was empty! We watched numerous people come and go from the front waiting for someone to at least acknowledge them, and nothing. If this is how this restaurant runs, good luck in the future. I do have to say that the young fellow that made our food did a great job! It was delicious! Everyone else needs a class in customer service and...
