I thought I would be the only one commenting on the not so great customer service.....but it looks like it's a trend.
So I came here because I just wanted a coffee before heading over to the library with my kids. I walked into the coffee shop and there was someone just finishing getting their coffee and then I just kind of stood there looking at the menu ....... There was about 4 people behind the counter... Nobody said anything to me, not one word.
So then I just looked at someone and I said okay.... Do I tell you my order? She just says " Ya".
So I gave her my order.... I asked about the flavor syrups and she just happened to like turn her head and list them off really quickly. So I realized till where she was looking so that I looked at the flavors. Everybody was just kind of staring at me like annoyed as if they almost didn't want to serve me like they just all were like looking at me like they were irritated. No smiles.... Basically like okay lady. What do you want?.....
So I told them my order..... While I was waiting for it to be made just beside the counter, there's a little gelato freezer and my son happened to just open the door to look inside....he's 5...... And when he opened it I just told my son okay buddy can you close that please? And the guy that was working there he turned and went to close the freezer door and like basically like slammed it shut annoyed that my son had just opened it..... And then he gave me a nasty look.....
Anyways, after paying $8 for my coffee that was basically half full because half of it was just foam.... I just wanted to get out of there...... I don't even know why I bothered to give them a tip ..... It's just in my nature to do so but I wish I didn't.
The girl then says oh your coffee's right there and I was just like okay thanks....
I've worked in customer service for many many years and needless to say the customer service was absolutely horrible. I don't think I'll go...
Read moreShopbike isn't simply a coffee house. It is a community hub, offering support to local makers and businesses, a "Cheers' like vibe! The owners and staff seem to know everyone's names and even drink orders. If they don't know your name they go out of their way to make you feel welcome and part of the community. I frequently will ask them to whip me up something unique and they never disappoint. All the staff are very kind, knowledgeable, conscientious and up to date with all health and safety protocols. Even as the "rules" in Ontario shift and change I know that Shopbike has done their research and due diligence in making sure they are providing the safest space possible to their patrons and community. I cannot recommend enough supporting this business and amazing people. It is refreshing, especially now, to feel connected even in the simple act of getting your...
Read moreI have been a customer of ShopBike since they opened. I have seen them grow, improve and reinvest in their business and the local community. They are wonderful example of what is so great about Huron County. During these troubled times, they have found a way to remain open while operate in in a safe and friendly manner. I love that I never see their cups or lids littering our town and county roads. They are fair trade sourced and environmentally responsible. I have shipped their coffee to friends and family around the world, to give them a taste of home. I am a customer for life! Corporate coffee brands could learn so much from local roasters. My advise, visit once, you will visit often. Keep doing what your doing,...
