Jack Astor's Bar & Grill Boisbriand — Restaurant in Boisbriand

Im not one to complain and leave a negative review as I understand sometimes a bad night can happen. Although this was by far the absolute worst service I have ever received in my life.

Took 30 minutes after being seated to get any kind of service/water.

After a long while, we finally get to order our drinks and wait another 20 minutes for two of the drinks to be completely wrong.

We finally order the food and after a ridiculous wait time, we got served the absolute most lazy made meal I had ever seen at a restaurant. The avocado was rotten, my buddy had said specifically no onions on his burger as he can not eat onions and of course his burger came with onions. My wife had some sort of broken off plastic piece of some kitchen utility in her salad. Her salad was also the most pathetic and low effort meal that I have ever seen been made at a restaurant. All these issues were brought up in a very polite way as I do understand that mistakes happen but nothing was even done about it, just some petty excuses for everything that was wrong.

After any of us barely touching our disgusting meals, we almost had to beg for the bill due to how long no one was coming to see us. It took 25 minutes of asking for the bill to finally get it so we can pay and leave.

Also keep in mind, this was a Saturday evening with a total of 8 customers in the restaurant. This had nothing to do with them being jammed with work, the staff all too busy chilling on their phones stuffing food down their mouths while making the customers beg for any...

I normally never write reviews for this, but I feel like this was a bit mecessary so other people know what they're getting.

We went for a friend's birthday. 6 people in total. We sat down and when the waitress brought our water, she accidentally dropped a full glass on one of our friends. She DID apologize, but nothing was offered to compensate. He looked like he just went down a waterslide from the Super Aqua Club. Also both him and I ordered a beer and it took over 15 minutes to get them.

It was a busy night, so I understand the waitress not giving us 100% of her attention, but we did have to ask her for more water after waiting for a little while. We also asked for more napkins more than once because she forgot. Don't ask me who it was, I ain't a snitch. In the end, she was really sweet, but really busy.

The food was good, nothing to complain about when it comes to it. Simply delicious. Expensive, but that's to be expected!

The women's bathroom was...dirty? The trash was brimming with junk, and the way the faucets need to be turned on kinda defeats the purpose of washing your hands? I guess using an extra piece of paper while washing is required.

The music was loud, but it is to be expected at a bar. Great ambiance.

We popped into this bar & grill after doing some early Christmas shopping at the mall this restaurant is located in.

As soon as we walked in, I had a bit of a 'deja-vu' feeling. The decor is very reminiscent of the Original Joe's chain of restaurants operating in western Canada. A Google search informed me that the 2 chains are not related, but clearly both were designed with the same clients in mind.The atmosphere is friendly, the staff are as well.

I had the Chicken Strips. I've eaten a lot of this dish over the years in many different establishments. These were some of the best I have ever had. They white meat was tender and moist, the ciating was light and slightly crunchy. It's an awesome combination. To top the dish off, the fries were crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and completely grease free. Picture skin-on McDonald's fries without the grease and too much salt that is common.

My wife had a Thai bowl that she described as "fantastic."

Last big bonus: large, clean washroom that provides users the option of using an air dryer or paper towels. I personally dislike the air dry option, so I appreciated the access to...
