An employee of Kabab & Karahi (K&K) refused to honour words of another employee, saying that she is new and I'm not responsible for her words, I'm responsible for mine.
I had ordered a Medium tray of Chicken Biryani for take away. At the time of pickup, I asked the front employee if you can pack my order - 1 Medium tray of Chicken Biryani in 2 small trays? She said yes, we can do that and went inside the kitchen. Soon another employee came and said we can't do that. I offered to pay extra for the trays cost, if there's any. But she refused. I asked you may not do so as per your normal "service" but at least you should do so this time just to honour the words of your coworker who has agreed to do. Her reply was even more disturbing. I will honour my words nor her, she is a new employee. By the time we were trying to understand each other's stance, the owner came from the kitchen. I repeated my request to him, as well. He said "You're trying to change a Canadian law", it is simply not possible. We will pack the food in Medium tray, as per order and provide you 2 small empty trays. You can transfer into the small trays at home.
Without further arguing, I stepped back from my request, paid the due amount and left the restaurant saying that today you have lost me as one of your customers. I'm not gonna return back.
And all who ate the food at home, found the rice in Chicken Biryani were not fully cooked.
I am sharing my experience so that people don't end up with a bitter taste of "customer care" no matter how tasty food they...
Read moreHello All Review Readers,
I honestly don’t know where to begin. But if I could give 0 stars I would without a second glance. The customer service was disappointing - trying to get the mistake by the place fixed seemed like it was not happening at all and didn’t.
The amount of food was barely enough for two people let alone by the combo of four and being duped for combo for two. The chicken legs were “substituted” without my knowledge and I was given 5 chicken wings when that is not what I ordered. Being about 20-25 minutes away I didn’t have the time to drive all the way back. When I called them they hadn’t picked up the phone for about 10-15 minutes when they did pickup they were rude and disrespectful. The lady told me to “just eat it, it’s all the same”. First time going to place to try the food spending more than I expected for food that was barely enough for two people and tasted all the same. The chicken curry and chicken so called Karahi was the same thing except with a container that 1cm bigger and more than double the price.
People looking for authentic Indian/Pakistani food should look somewhere else. I don’t mind supporting local restaurants but the way they treated me along with the experience was...
Read moreOne thing for sure we indians don't know customer service. We aren't meant for it, it seems. We go in and its not busy at all. Maybe 4 people sitting in prior to us arriving. We wait for 20-30 mins just for someone to come take our orders, then the server or whoever comes up doesn't bring any menu nor realizes it. Then brings back a few after being told and throws it on the table like we are eating for free. When the order arrives we get chicken pieces mixed in with mutton dishes and vice versa because they use "the same pot to cook" The best was finding mutton pieces in a VEGETARIAN dish, with bone marrows and meat pieces. I been vegetarian for years and seeing that in my plate was very disturbing and disappointing to say the least. Why because "we cook eveything in same pot" That's the answer we kept getting. See attached pictures for clarification. Vegetarian means vegetarian not vegetarian with a hint of meat zest. No sense of apology nor responsibility taken. You are not a pure vegetarian restaurant sure, but is it hard to clean the pots and pans thoroughly prior to cooking other things ? Customer acquisition and service is vital for growth. Hope you guys learn and adapt...
