Nostimo Greek Souvlaki (Bradford) — Restaurant in Bradford West Gwillimbury

I was looking forward to trying Nostimo. On a previous visit, my partner had had a chicken souvlaki sandwich and loved it. This time she/ we had a completely different experience. We got there at 7:40 and discovered that they close at 8:00 and had already started to close down. The manager/owner gruffly asked us what we wanted, and when we asked what was available (the trays were empty), she announced that she had some chicken, gyros, and rice and that she was going to give us for free. When I mentioned that I was hoping to order some vegetarian food, she replied in an even gruffer tone that I could have some rice and potatoes plus a small Greek salad. Before we could properly assess the situation she thrust a couple of bags at us and actually made a shooing motion with her hand signaling that we needed to leave! We were hungry so we took them but we should have given the bags right back to her, both for the sake of our dignity and of our palates. The chicken was dry, the potatoes were greasy, and the gyro was awful! Maybe the management has changed since my partner was last there a couple of months ago. I’ve been ordering take out from Nostimos for two years now never had a problem but today I call and ask for take out and the person that answered repeatedly said “Hello?” And I kept asking to order “take out” which carried on for almost 30 seconds straight to the point I assumed they could not here me asking to place a take out order. After making my order the person started to attack me and berate the fact that I called to order take out and didn’t understand what take out means so she tells me not to order that way… I said if this was how I was to be treated as a customer then I’d rather not order and she said “okay no problem so don’t order from here!” .. to my amazement I cancelled my order. This is the best place we have found in Bradford to have lunch or dinner for a good price. If you looking for the healthy, fresh and Mediterranean cuisine for affordable prices and nice atmosphere, you should go there.
